VALORANT patch notes 11.04

Manila server is coming!

Riot Games has unveiled plans for a fresh Asia-Pacific game server stationed in Manila, the Philippines’ primary city. The purpose of this new setup is to enhance gameplay connections and boost overall player satisfaction by delivering an enhanced gaming experience.

Over the last five years, the Southeast Asian gaming community has seen substantial expansion, particularly in the Philippines. Such growth led to the establishment of a dedicated server for this region to enhance the gaming experience. Earlier, most Filipino players were utilizing the Hong Kong server, which however, resulted in some infrastructure issues that affected game quality.

Remember, this is a brand new server available for you to play on. You’re free to carry on gaming across other servers whenever you want. Riot Games has confidently stated that the server performance, particularly in Hong Kong, should remain stable and robust.

Gifting esports store

Starting from May, the Gift option has been introduced in the game, yet it was initially unavailable for purchase through esports teams’ stores. Now, you have the opportunity to gift a friend your chosen team’s collection! There’s no better way to express your support for your favorite squad than by gifting their bundle to a partner in gaming.

Agents updates

In the role of an enthusiastic player: I’ve noticed that Phoenix’s voice lines have been refreshed and now includes interactive dialogues with Vyse! If you’re a lore aficionado, you might find some intriguing new insights here. As for our agents, Chamber and Sage are receiving significant boosts in this VALORANT patch 11.04 – let’s see how they shape up!

Chamber

Over the course of time, Chamber’s prominence began to wane as other notable sentinels emerged, and he received several balance adjustments that reduced his appeal. However, Riot Games is now working on bringing him back to life by boosting his influence.

  • Trademark: Range restriction has been removed. We’re giving a little bit more strategic and positional flexibility for Chamber, as his trap hasn’t felt like it warrants a range restriction in modern VALORANT.

Sage

Riot intends to transform Sage into a combined Controller-Sentinel character rather than maintaining the current pure Sentinel status. By implementing this modification, Sage’s abilities would provide expanded control over the game map and enable more strategic gameplay from well-protected vantage points.

  • Barrier Orb: Sage wall cast range has increased from 10m >>> 15m
  • Resurrection: Sage resurrection range has increased from 6m >>> 12m

Sova

In simpler terms, the appearance of Sova’s Hunter Fury ability in the game will be tweaked to load faster and occupy less room during gameplay.

Gameplay Systems updates

In a simpler term, Riot has softened the sound of map pings and changed the color of the Area of Effect (AOE) Ultimate indicators to clearly distinguish between teammates’ and opponents’ abilities.

  • All ally zones will now appear consistent teal, and enemy zones should now be consistently yellow.
  • Ability icons will now only appear in the minimap zone if the ultimate is destructible.

Map updates

Abyss is back in the competitive and Deathmatch queues, will Icebox will be leaving for now.

VALORANT patch notes 11.04: Bug fixes

Resolved a problem that occurred when a concussed player’s aim would remain steady instead of shaking, even while under the influence of a debuff. This issue occurred when the player swiftly moved in and out of abilities such as Cypher’s camera or Sova’s drone.

  • Chamber: Fixed an issue where the minimap would still show the deactivation range of Chamber’s Trademark while the ability was equipped.
  • KAY/O: Fixed a bug where Kayo’s Zero/Point revealed exact opponent locations with an audio cue.
  • Astra/Harbor: Fixed an issue where bullet tracers could be seen passing through Astra’s Cosmic Divide and Harbor’s Cove.
  • Phoenix/Tejo: Fixed a bug where the wrong voiceline played during round-start when Phoenix and Tejo are both present.
  • Neon: Fixed a bug where Neon could skip her unequip delay by binding High Gear to multiple keys.

In the city of Split, the developers at Riot resolved a problem with molotov skills that failed to correctly spread when thrown up stairs following contact with the ground.

Known issues

Upon updating to UE5, some users may encounter an issue where their player resolution and display settings reset upon initial play. Regrettably, this problem won’t be addressed by Riot, however, they assure that after the game is patched, your preferred resolution display settings will be automatically adjusted for you.

PC Only updates

In simpler terms, during games marked as competitive, there was an issue causing character names to be abruptly cut off upon a match’s conclusion in specific languages. This problem has now been addressed by Riot. A similar issue occurred in the Premier version where awards tab character names were getting truncated for certain languages; this issue too has been resolved.
