VALORANT patch notes 11.00
General updates
Visual effects for suppressing opponents have been enhanced for better visibility, enhancing the debuff’s clarity. Riot Games introduced new animations within the user interface and user experience when grabbing the spike, aiming to make it clearer when players have obtained it.
Agent updates
Waylay
Since her debut, Waylay has demonstrated a sharp learning curve, with her win rate increasing noticeably as more games are played. However, it’s worth noting that she remains somewhat underpowered across all skill levels. These enhancements are designed to enhance Waylay’s capacity for engaging in fights immediately following the use of her Lightspeed and make her Refract loop more manageable, while also improving overall gameplay fluidity. Due to Saturate not landing as frequently as other abilities, its power is being boosted to match its 300 credit price tag.
Refract
As a gamer, I’ve noticed that Refract is now running at a blazing speed and silky smoothness, significantly reducing its overall travel duration. This means Waylay’s time-jumping talent revives faster, getting her back into the fray sooner. Plus, I can swap my primary weapon in a blink of an eye, making Waylay more agile and combat-ready than ever before.
- Minimum time in refract decreased 0.5s – 0.35s
- Maximum time in refract decreased 3s – 2s
- Unequip time decreased 1.0s – 0.8s
- Refract delay after reactivation decreased 0.1s – 0.05s
Lightspeed
- Unequip delay decreased 0.8s – 0.6s
Saturate
- Windup before explosion decreased 0.75s – 0.6s
- Size increased 10m total size – 12m total size
Reyna
Instead of Reyna’s beam, Leer, lasting longer than many comparable shootable abilities, making it tough to eliminate due to unclear indications when it’s being hit, Riot Games plans to lower its health and provide both visual and auditory signals to help players recognize when their shots are successfully connecting.
Leer
- HP decreased 100 >> 80
- Audio and visual hit confirm feedback has been added to shots that land on Leer.
Neon and Phoenix
As a gamer, I’ve noticed that Riot Games is tweaking Neon’s Relay Bolt and Phoenix’s Curveball to offer more chances for counteraction. Currently, these abilities are powerful, but their swift activation has made it tough for opponents to respond quickly. The upcoming modifications are intended to boost real-time counterplay possibilities without undervaluing the significance of foresight and positioning.
Neon
- Relay Bolt Windup increased 0.8s – 1.0s
Phoenix
- Curveball Windup increased 0.5s – 0.6s
Clarity and consistency updates
The following adjustments are part of VALORANT’s continuous endeavor to enhance gameplay uniformity and battle transparency, much like the recent visual effect updates for Neon’s Overdrive and Deadlock’s Barrier Mesh health indicators.
Breach
- Aftershock: Visual effects around the windup and explosions resolve slightly more quickly and block less gameplay space
Sova
- Recon Bolt: Increased volume of Recon Bolt’s projectile loop and improved how the arrow’s sound travels through the air to make it easier to track
- Audio priority and attenuation adjusted so that you can more reliably hear the arrow when multiple audio cues are present
- Audio tech updated to make it easier understand the trajectory of the arrow, point of impact, and reveal radius
- Owl Drone: Enemies now hear a light warning audio loop when they are spotted by Sova’s drone
- Audio hit confirm feedback has been added when shooting the drone successfully
Clove
- Pick-Me-Up: Pick-Me-Up visuals updated to show when Clove’s speed boost is active
Killjoy
- Lockdown: Lockdown’s detain pulse delay: 0.5s – 0.15s
- Lockdown’s visual effects have been updated to match this new behavior
Cypher
- Spycam: Spycam’s dart visuals have been updated so that is easier to understand the dart’s directionality
Omen
- Given no other dome smoke controllers reveal their own location on smoking, we’ve removed this opponent counterplay specific to Omen
- Dark Cover no longer plays audio in third person within 12.5 meters for opponents. This audio will still play for Allies
Brimstone
- Sky Smoke will now play cast audio within 12.5 meters for allies
MAP UPDATES
Corrode
In this 5v5 game mode, you’ll explore a map modeled as a medieval fortress, complete with distinct castle defenses and village structures. The strategic layers are abundant, providing depth as you fight through various multi-tiered positions within this salt-encrusted stronghold that has been molded by radianite storms. This map includes three main paths and two key locations, known as Corrode.
Map pool updates
- Bind and Corrode are in the competitive and deathmatch queues
- Pearl and Split are out of the competitive and deathmatch queues
- Corrode is now also available to play in Premier, Unrated, Swiftplay, Spike Rush, and Escalation
Modes updates
VALORANT has introduced Corrode as the latest map to join its collection! To mark its debut, a special Corrode-exclusive queue will run for five days, with matches played in the Swiftplay format. During this timeframe, Escalation mode will be on hold.
In the interim, Riot Games fixed the spawn issues that occurred with Patch 10.09, allowing Icebox to be activated again in both Deathmatch and Escalation gaming options.
Competitive updates
In this latest update, the Top-Tier Companion for Gunplay has been unveiled! Commencing June 24 with Act IV, players will secure their Ranked Ally from this very patch, granted according to the peak rank attained during the initial three acts of Season 2025.
Starting from the very first day of the update, you’ll find the fresh map, named Corrode, in the competitive play queue. To help players adjust to this new setting, losses on Corrode during the initial two weeks will only result in a 50% reduction of RR (Ranked Rating) penalties. But don’t forget, victories on Corrode will still earn you the full 100% RR reward.
Regarding the mid-season rank resets, players will notice a lesser decrease in their rank upon finishing placement matches. Moreover, the highest possible placement rank has been elevated to Ascendant 3.
Bug Fixes
General
Resolved an issue that caused some vulnerable/fragile elements in the game, whose visual effects persisted beyond their intended debuff duration, to remain for a longer time. Also addressed a bug that made Tejo’s Stealth Drone and Fade’s Prowlers continue to keep teleporter doors open on the map Bind.
Or simply:
Fixed a bug causing some visual effects of vulnerable/fragile elements to linger too long, and another one keeping teleporter doors open with destructible deployables like Tejo’s Stealth Drone and Fade’s Prowlers on Bind.
