The new VALORANT patch 11.07 brings significant improvements to how abilities work and are understood, as well as a fresh set of bug fixes. This update focuses on making abilities more clear for players.
The VALORANT patch 11.07 focuses on improving how abilities are displayed on the mini-map, which should make matches easier to understand and follow. Besides this, the update includes changes to certain agents and the standard set of bug fixes. Let’s take a closer look at what’s new.
VALORANT patch 11.07 notes
Agent updates
- Cypher: Parts of Cypher’s Spycam visual glitch effect have been removed. This effect is most noticeable when entering the camera in rapid succession, and this update should make it so you are less likely to miss any information when checking your camera frequently.
- Waylay: Improved clarity of Waylay’s Convergent Paths so you know exactly where the edges are when dodging.
System updates
Here’s a look at some important changes. Since we launched VALORANT, we’ve added many agents, each with unique abilities. Sometimes, these abilities can feel overwhelming or make it hard to focus on the game. To help players stay informed without being distracted, we’re giving all placeable and reactivatable abilities a new, clear teal color. This change affects these abilities:
- Chamber Trademark and Rendezvous
- Killjoy Nanoswarm
- Vyse Razorvine and Arc Rose
- Yoru Gatecrash

This same update also affects abilities you directly control. To help your team understand how you’re using utility skills to scout, the direction these abilities travel will now be shown, giving everyone a better understanding of where they’re pointing. The icons for these abilities now include a directional arrow to show where they’re aimed, with different colors for allies and enemies, and a visual indicator for drones that lock onto players.
- Fade Prowler
- Raze Boom Bot
- Gekko Wingman and Trash
- Skye Trailblazer, Guiding Light, and Seekers
- Sova Owl Drone
- Tejo Dtealth Drone
The Raze Boom Bot is a new addition, since it didn’t show on the mini-map before.
Modes updates
On October 3rd, Riot Games is launching a new mode for custom matches. To try it out, simply create a custom lobby and invite a friend or two. They’ll be sharing more details during the Champions Finals Weekend, so keep an eye out for updates!
Bug fixes
Agents
- Fixed a bug where recoil on Chamber’s Headhunter would sometimes appear to recover quicker than intended. Thanks to Reddit user RejiAG for calling this out!
- The map icon for Brimstone’s Orbital Strike is now removed at the same time the area of effect is turned off. Previously, it lingered while the effect faded out, which lasted longer than when it was visible to players.
- Fixed Raze’s hair so it wouldn’t flicker during certain movements in Agent select.
- Fixed an issue when Phoenix’s Blaze would break Ascent glass despite not overlapping it.
Known issues
Last week, Riot Games fixed the bug that caused Agents to disappear in most situations. They’re still working on a permanent fix, so you might still see it happen occasionally. If the problem persists, please contact Player Support for help.
PC only updates
The “Show Replay UI” and “Show Cursor” user interface options will now automatically turn off when you use the in-game setting to hide the user interface.
Premier
With an upcoming update, Riot Games is adding support for VCT teams to the Team Tag feature. To make this happen, existing Premier teams using a name or tag that matches a VCT partnered team will be asked through a message in the game for the Team Owner to update their team name.
Known issues
All the bugs below will be solved during the patch notes for 11.08.
- If you pause a replay while first-person spectating someone who is impacted by Fade’s Nightfall, your next game will sound muffled unless you restart the game client.
- There is a minor visual bug where hovering over an offline player on your friends list may show an empty Premier team section.
- There is an issue that’s causing intermittent crashing on the Agent Select screen after locking in your Agent. In the meantime, you can workaround by disabling AVX512 instructions in your system’s BIOS.
