VALORANT Mobile: 16 Agents, two exclusive maps, and more

At long last, Riot Games has revealed specifics about the mobile version of VALORANT, which includes a trailer, gameplay footage, a list of characters (Agents), and maps that will be available upon launch.

At long last, Riot Games has revealed the official trailer for VALORANT Mobile, along with a plethora of accompanying details. Take a look at the VALORANT Mobile trailer, learn about the initial roster of Agents and Maps upon launch, and much more!

VALORANT Mobile is region-locked for now

As a passionate fan, I can’t help but share some exciting news! The key point here is that VALORANT Mobile will first appear in China. LIGHTSPEED STUDIOS, a Tencent Games subsidiary based in Shenzhen, China, is the mastermind behind bringing this beloved shooter to mobile platforms. This development studio has also been responsible for hits like PUBG Mobile, the Chinese variant of League of Legends: Wild Rift, Apex Legends Mobile, and Undawn.

In another video, the heads of VALORANT’s studio, Anna Donlon, and executive producer Andy Ho, discussed their forthcoming launch.

They discussed their collaboration with LIGHTSPEED STUDIOS, highlighting how they worked together to create the unique gaming experience that sets VALORANT apart.

According to Ho, we’ve been putting in a lot of effort together with LIGHTSPEED to ensure that the crucial aspects of VALORANT are perfectly executed. This includes seamless ability control, top-notch gunplay and movement, and exceptional performance on multiple types of devices.

According to Donlon, China boasts one of the biggest and most competitive mobile First-Person Shooter (FPS) gaming communities globally. Given that LIGHTSPEED is a well-respected developer in this region, it seems logical to focus our efforts more locally for now. Regarding expanding into other regions, we are currently working on the details.

VALORANT Mobile gameplay

A sneak peek at a brief video showcasing gameplay for VALORANT Mobile was recently released, offering viewers a look into the user interface of the mobile version.

In terms of controls, they appear quite familiar to what you’d find in other mobile First-Person Shooter games. This familiarity is likely to allow seamless transition of your aiming skills from various mobile games directly into VALORANT.

It’s worth pointing out that the game appears to feature varying assets. To illustrate, the scene with Phoenix’s Blaze in this version seems visually distinct compared to the PC version.

The trailer also shows us that the UI will be customizable, a common feature in mobile FPS titles.

Weapons

In this edition of the game upon its launch, The Outlaw character will be included. However, there won’t be any changes to the existing arsenal; no weapons will be removed or added uniquely.

As a gamer, I can’t guarantee that the Regen Shield will be part of the mobile version, since it wasn’t showcased in the gameplay trailer.
