The VALORANT Masters tournament in Santiago will feature a brand new 1v1 competition called the Skirmish Series. The best players will compete head-to-head, with the final match taking place on the main stage.
VALORANT Esports is adding a new feature called the Skirmish Series at Masters Santiago. It’s a series of one-on-one tournaments giving fans the opportunity to play against popular VALORANT creators.
VALORANT Esports believes that while Masters tournaments take place globally, the special moments should be remembered by the cities that host them. The Skirmish Series in Santiago offers local players a chance to become part of Masters history.
Skirmish Series
So, they’re running something called the Skirmish Series, and it’s going to be a bunch of tournaments over several days. Each day, there will be four single-elimination brackets with 16 players battling it out. If you do the math, that means there will be a total of 16 tournaments throughout the whole series!
Matches will be one-on-one, with each match played once. Because spots are very limited and this is a brand new event, Riot Games might adjust how many players can participate and the tournament format as things progress. The VALORANT Esports team explained they’ll make decisions to ensure a great experience for both players and spectators.
Each contest winner will receive a prize and earn a spot in the Final Tournament on March 14th. There, 16 qualified players will face off against 16 content creators in a double-elimination tournament. The tournament’s championship match will take place on the VCT Stage following the daily Masters matches.
