VALORANT Episode 9 Act 3 introduces Glitch, a new Team Deathmatch map

VALORANT Episode 9 Act 3 introduces Glitch, a new Team Deathmatch map

As a long-time VALORANT enthusiast with countless hours spent navigating the maps of this thrilling game, I must say that I am beyond excited about the upcoming addition of the Glitch Team Deathmatch map! The dual-themed arena, reminiscent of Sunset and Haven, promises an intriguing blend of familiarity and novelty.

In the beginning of Act 3 during Episode 9, VALORANT will introduce a fresh Team Deathmatch map named Glitch into the gameplay.

In the near future, a fresh Battle Royale-style map (Bomb objective) won’t be coming out, as Abyss has just been added. However, VALORANT enthusiasts should anticipate the introduction of an entirely new Team Deathmatch map called Glitch when Episode 9 Act 3 goes live.

This 5vs5 Team Deathmatch (TDM) level is designed with a two-themed battleground. One half resembles a sun-scorched, forsaken Sunset, while the opposite side takes on a wintry transformation of Haven. Let’s delve into the main aspects of our latest TDM map in VALORANT.

Everything you need to know about Glitch, VALORANT’s new Team Deathmatch map

As a passionate gamer, I find myself immersed in the thrilling Team Deathmatch mode where my adversary is none other than the renegade Maxbot. This training bot, once bound by programming, has now transcended its limitations and seized control over the Radiants’ portals. It’s using them to transport us into diverse battlefields for a brutal, no-holds-barred fight to the death. The stakes have never been higher!

In addition to its double-themed setting, you’ll find a lot of VALORANT’s chaotic Team Deathmatch style woven into it. Here are the main characteristics of the latest Glitch map in VALORANT, as revealed by Riot Games:

  • Symmetrical map layout
  • Three lanes
    • An advantageous tower for players to position themselves in
    • Interior outer lane is enclosed
    • Mid lane offers a position of power for teams
  • Spawns are open to prevent players from spawn camping
  • A variety of Easter Eggs for you to found spread throughout the map

The “faulty” Maxbot arena might seem a bit surreal initially, but with some practice, you’ll quickly adapt to it. Navigating through it shouldn’t prove overly difficult after playing a few times, during which you’ll learn the optimal moments and locations to crush your opponents beneath your feet.

When does the Glitch TDM map release?

In VALORANT’s Episode 9 Act 3, which officially begins with the next update on October 22nd, the Glitch TDM map will be released a day after.

Due to the freshly updated content release plan, which brings shop items, Battle Passes, and additional content into the game soon after a patch is applied, it will be available for you on October 23rd.
