VALORANT Act 6 map rotation: Pearl and Split are coming back!

With the launch of VALORANT Act 6, players can once again compete on Pearl and Split. These maps are replacing Ascent and Lotus, which will temporarily be unavailable for competitive play.

If you dislike the Pearl or Split maps, or both, you might not be happy to hear they’re returning to the VALORANT map rotation in Act 6. Riot Games announced this change will happen with patch 11.08, after the VALORANT Champions 2025 tournament ends. Don’t worry about it right away, though – these changes won’t be live for a while.

VALORANT Act 6 map rotation

Riot Games announced on X that two maps, Ascent and Lotus, will no longer be played in VALORANT’s official competitive matches. Starting with the new Act 6 update in patch 11.08, Pearl and Split will take their place. These changes will be implemented on October 14, 2025.

As a VALORANT fan, I’m glad to hear the map rotation for Champions 2025 won’t change! However, the new map pool *will* be used at the Game Changers Championship in Korea, which is happening from November 20th to the 30th. So it’s a different story for that tournament!

These will be the available maps on Act 6:

  • Haven
  • Pearl (NEW)
  • Bind
  • Sunset
  • Corrode
  • Abyss
  • Split (NEW)

VALORANT Game Changers 2025

We’re still finalizing details for the 2025 VALORANT Game Changers Championship, but here’s what we can share: the tournament will be held in Seoul, South Korea at LoL Park this November. Ten teams will compete for the championship title. Here’s a look at the regions that will have qualifying teams:

  • EMEA Stage 3
  • EMEA Circuit Points #2
  • EMEA Circuit #3
  • North America Stage 2
  • Brazil Final Stage
  • Pacific #1
  • Pacific #2
  • LATAM Regional Final
  • China Stage 2
  • Americas LCQ

Shopify Rebellion proved their dominance in 2024 by winning all three North American stages and the year’s biggest tournament, earning them back-to-back championships. They’ve started strong in 2025 with a Stage 1 victory in Challengers North America. Now, the big question is whether they can maintain this winning streak and repeat their success on the biggest stage this year.
