Valkyrae has unveiled plans for a new media company, Hihi Studios, that will specialize in animation production.

Rachel Hofstetter, commonly known as Valkyrae, is one of the world’s most recognized content creators. Since 2020, she has held the title of the most-watched female streamer on YouTube under her belt. Now, Valkyrae is broadening her influence even more with a fresh media company called Hihi Studios.

Through an exclusive interview with Variety, Valkyrae shared details about her new venture, Hihi Studios, and its primary goals. The main focus of Hihi Studios is to create and distribute anime-inspired content, which includes graphic novels, TV series, and films.

The studio operates a separate account on the platform, which recently shared a video originally posted by Vakyrae’s primary channel. This video serves as an introduction of the studio to the public. In her post, she expresses her enthusiasm about unveiling the company, as it stems from her passion for animation and is reflected in its productions.

According to an exclusive report with Variety, Valkyrae revealed that the name of her studio is derived from how she used to greet her stream audience. She would often start by saying “hihi” to them, and now, this term has been playfully incorporated into her media company as a hidden nod or “Easter egg.

Instead of teaming up with an existing studio, I chose to venture out on my own. Here’s why: Each step in this creative journey feels more authentic when it’s mine alone. Building a studio from the ground up allows me to mold it into a reflection of my unique vision and values, ensuring every project is imbued with the essence of my passion and creativity.

Now, it feels like the perfect moment to step forward and bring my own innovative concepts to life in a fresh, unexplored medium. Currently, we don’t know which IP (Intellectual Property) is being produced first by the studio. However, it has been reported that Valkyrae and Hihi Studios have entered into a co-publishing agreement with GlobalComix. This partnership aims to finance and develop projects, as well as distribute both physical and digital content from Hihi Studios.
