As a long-time fan and admirer of Valerie Bertinelli, I must say that her journey through love and life experiences is truly inspiring. From her successful career to her personal struggles, she has shown resilience and strength that many can only dream of possessing. Her latest relationship with Mike, a man 10 years younger than her, yet he seems to have brought light into her life. He is mature, kind, thoughtful – qualities that make him an ideal partner for anyone, let alone for a Hollywood icon like Valerie Bertinelli.’ she’s ready to embrace the unknown and whatever it brings.’

Valerie Bertinelli marked two years of being single again, following her divorce from Tom Vitale, by posting an honest message on Instagram last Friday.

Actress from Hot in Cleveland, aged 64 (who parted ways with Mike Goodnough just a few days ago), recently shared insights about discovering her authentic self in a heartfelt post for her 1.6 million fans.

Bertinelli and Vitale were wedded in 2011, but she requested a legal separation ten years after, in 2021. The divorce proceedings concluded in November 2022, marking their official split.

The celebrity posted a picture with a caption saying: ‘I wasn’t sure how I was going to manage, but I knew I’d find a way.’

‘And I did! Today marks two years of freedom. Two years of walking through self doubt and doing my best to get to the other side.’

Valerie went on to say, ‘It’s been two years since I realized I shouldn’t put up with the unbearable. The past two years have been about overcoming feelings of embarrassment and disgust towards myself, which I’m still grappling with.’ (Still a work in progress.)

The actress commented, “For two years I’ve been on a journey to discover who I truly am. And then, little by little, I found myself opening up and experiencing love once more. (Thank you, Mike ♥️),” making a nod to her former partner, Mike Goodnough.

Earlier this month, a source shared that Bertinelli and Goodnough parted ways following a 10-month romance. The source added, ‘Their romantic connection has ended.’

She added in the post, ‘Two years of confronting past demons and traumas and doing my best to work through them.’

Bertinelli wrote, “I aim to be the finest, genuine version of me as I move forward into this final phase of my life.

‘I am learning that until I love myself and accept myself, all of me, my dark and light sides, I can never give someone else the love and emotional vulnerability that they need and deserve.’

The star shared with her followers, “You need to be the first one to receive it, only then can you pass it on. Working hard on that.

In a heartfelt gesture, the actress acknowled

Apart from that, she extended her thanks to Mike, mentioning, “Thank you for being instrumental in my development this year. Our journey together has been valuable, and I am particularly thankful for having the opportunity to meet you.

To everyone in my digital circle, I can’t express enough gratitude towards you. Your input means a lot to me, and I deeply appreciate it. Similarly, your kindness and compassion never cease to amaze me. So, thank you from the bottom of my heart.

To sum up, Valerie expressed a supportive sentiment in her message, saying, “First and foremost, I want you to understand that if you’re finding things tough at the moment, I’ve faced similar struggles myself, and sometimes still do. But remember, it does improve over time.

“I give you my word; things will improve. There will be days that are tough and demanding, but there will also be moments when everything feels right, and you’ll sense it. I care for you deeply.

In 2004, Bertinelli encountered Vitale, and they got engaged in 2010. They tied the knot in January 2011, but Bertinelli initiated a legal separation process in November 2021.

In a heartfelt Instagram post last year, I openly shared my journey towards healing after a challenging breakup. I proudly declared that I am moving forward, leaving behind someone who prioritized self-interest over empathy.

In the context of discussing physical therapy, I find myself expressing the view that much of our emotional distress gets trapped within us physically. I am committed to addressing this issue comprehensively, and so I’m focusing on healing in every facet – through my therapy sessions, journaling, meditation, as well as rolfing.

Afterward, the actress shared with her fans, “I’ve moved on. I’m past the narcissistic individual. I’m well beyond him.

Previously this year, Valerie expressed on Instagram that she felt liberated following the conclusion of her divorce.

At that moment, she wrote, “Now there’s so much to be excited about, unlike before when everything seemed endless gloom, fear, loneliness, and stress.

Afterward, the television figure clarified that even though she’s unsure about what lies ahead for her, the celebrity remains untroubled, expressing a sense of freedom instead.

As a lifestyle connoisseur looking back on my life’s journey, I was once united in matrimony with the legendary Eddie Van Halen from 1981 until we parted ways in 2007. During our shared chapter, we were blessed with the arrival of our son Wolfgang, now a vibrant 33 years old.

Her latest Instagram post comes not long after it was revealed that she had split from boyfriend, Mike Goodnough, after 10 months of dating.

Back in March, the actress didn’t immediately reveal it at the time, but she mentioned that she was in a romantic relationship with someone.

During an interview with USA Today, Valerie expressed, “I’ve found someone. I’m deeply appreciative of him. This is unlike any romantic connection I’ve had with a man before.

I won’t go into detail, but let me tell you, I consider myself extremely fortunate and thankful for having crossed paths with him. It took me by surprise!

She hadn’t been expecting him at all. She was contentedly living with her six cats and dog, anticipating a blissful life. Suddenly, this unexpected event occurred, and I’m thankful for it happening. There’s something truly unique about him, she went on to say affectionately.

Back in April, she shared with People that Mike, a talented writer, is about a decade younger than herself. She went on to describe him as being not only mature but also kind-hearted, considerate, and patient.

In that very month, they made their relationship public on Instagram and strolled the red carpet side by side for the initial time during June.

Valerie and Mike found it difficult as they managed their long-distance romance during courtship, a challenge Valerie herself acknowledged.

Recently, sources shared with DailyMail.com a warning sign that led Bertinelli to end her relationship, suggesting that he may have been more captivated by her celebrity status than his genuine feelings for her.

Valerie leaped into a deep commitment with a man who first left a comment on her social media post, something that could have served as a warning sign.

The source mentioned that instead of someone truly interested in her personality, she got mixed up with a fan. It appeared he was more enamored by her celebrity status.

‘Valerie recognized this before things went too far, and she’s doing okay,’ the source continued.

Initially, her friends were apprehensive about her actions. In the future, it would be wise for her to exercise greater care when it comes to her feelings.
