US actor Jeremy Piven drops C-bomb in trainwreck interview on Aussie radio

On the morning radio show Jase & Lauren on Nova 100, actor Jeremy Piven left listeners stunned by using profanity during an unsuccessful interview on Friday.

60-year-old Piven, known for his uncensored character in the satirical HBO series Entourage, is now performing a comedy tour down under.

During his performance, the well-liked comedian unexpectedly used a strong profanity, which left the Nova team astonished, as he was expressing his admiration for Australian crowds.

In Perth, my performance turned out to be a massive hit, amazingly, it was completely sold out. Not a single empty seat could be found, as he put it.

As a dedicated admirer, I’d put it this way: “When our beloved host, Jason ‘Jase’ Hawkins, swiftly bleeped out an inappropriate word during the show, it left Mr. Piven looking a tad embarrassed.

Upon reaching his studio following a five-hour flight from Washington during the early hours, the star inquired of his hosts, “Isn’t it not appropriate to use that term?

‘I don’t know where I am. I’m just gonna be totally unhinged,’ a tired Piven joked.

To help steer the interview back on track, co-host Lauren Phillips attempted to lighten the mood by making a joke with her guest.

Who is responsible for this idea?” She joked about her publicist facing criticism for getting her here at 6.

Piven jokingly responded, suggesting that perhaps the publicist intended for him to experience a very public display of strong emotions.”

Instead of saying “I think the publicist wanted me to have a public emotional breakdown, Piven replied tongue-in-cheek,” I changed it to “Piven jokingly responded, suggesting that perhaps the publicist intended for him to experience a very public display of strong emotions.” This way, the sentence is easier to understand and sounds more natural.

Elsewhere in our conversation, the Emmy Award winner, who has triumphed three times, expressed enthusiasm about the warm reception he’s been getting from local fans during his ongoing tour.

It seems that the folks around here have been incredibly welcoming towards me. Whenever I hear an Australian accent, they often approach me with kindness and warmth.

‘And I know I say that, it’s not a mantra, it’s not a cliché, it’s just the truth.

‘Every performance I give is fully booked. Audience members are intelligent; they appreciate humor. If you’re not humorous, they won’t laugh, but if you are, you’ll undoubtedly excel.’

On HBO’s Entourage, which aired from 2004 to 2011, the actor portrayed the sharp-tongued Hollywood agent, Ari Gold. He also played this character in the 2015 film adaptation.

Piven’s portrayal of the character Ari, known for his quick temper and colorful, often explicit outbursts, soon won over fans as a beloved favorite.

Following Jeremy Piven’s account, we find himself recounting a humorous and awkward encounter he had with Russell Crowe during his most recent trip to Australia.

At a swanky Hollywood soiree, the renowned U.S. celebrity shared the details of their initial encounter with the Academy Award recipient.

Back in the vibrant year of 2024, I found myself standing before the microphones of The Kyle and Jackie O Show, my heart pounding with excitement. As I took a deep breath, I confessed that when I first crossed paths with the charismatic Russell, an Australian acting titan, I was anything but composed. In fact, I was utterly ‘awestruck’, left trembling in his presence like a leaf in the wind. It’s not every day you meet your idol!

He shared that he attended a party in Hollywood, where he interacted once with Russell. As you may know, Russell can come across as quite imposing.

Piven admitted that things went from bad to worse when he couldn’t understand Russell’s accent.

After finding himself puzzled by his words, Jeremy ultimately figured out that Russell was hinting at a wish to collaborate with him.

He continued by mentioning that he’d recognized me from a movie titled “Very Bad Things,” a compelling, sad yet hilarious, dark comedy.

As Jeremy tells us, Russell inquired if they could collaborate together. In response, Jeremy humorously replied, “I happen to be in the process of dressing up at the moment!
