The original series, which ran from 1978 to 1981, was a classic – it followed Blake as he gathered a crew of rebels to fight against the oppressive Federation that ruled the galaxy. Now, Peter Hoar, who’s directed episodes of The Last of Us and Doctor Who, is leading the charge with his production company, Multitude Productions, and I’m hoping they’ll do the show justice!

Though created by Terry Nation – the creator of Doctor Who‘s iconic Daleks – Blake’s 7 never became as widely popular. Still, the show has maintained a dedicated fanbase that continues to celebrate it, even into 2026, despite some viewers being unhappy with how it ended.
