Upcoming Mace Windu novel gets NYCC exclusive cover

As a dedicated Star Wars fan who has been following the saga since the original trilogy graced our screens, I can confidently say that the upcoming release of “Mace Windu: The Glass Abyss” by Steven Barnes is an event I’ve been eagerly anticipating. Having grown up with Mace as a favorite character, I’m thrilled to see him getting his own book in canon, and even more so when it’s penned by none other than the talented Mr. Barnes.

Next month, there will be a new Star Wars book featuring Mace Windu in the main storyline, and a unique edition of this book will be available exclusively for attendees at New York Comic-Con.

For the entirety of the convention from October 17th through the 20th, you’ll have the opportunity to buy a unique version of a book at a designated spot. Your purchase will come with this special edition book featuring an exclusive cover design and also a complimentary pin.

Writer Steven Barnes, known for penning a book set within the universe’s lore during the late 1900s, is set to re-emerge in a distant galaxy once more.

The story unfolds post-“Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace,” focusing on the adventures of Mace Windu, as he embarks on a perilous journey to an ominous planet at the behest of his comrade and fellow Jedi Master, Qui-Gon Jinn. Though Jedi Knights are united with the Force, it’s revealed that in departing this world, Qui-Gon neglected something vital – a task entrusted to Mace Windu for completion during his absence.

As a dedicated Star Wars enthusiast, I find myself immersed in an intriguing era that the saga rarely explores – one where the Clone Wars are yet to ignite, but the galaxy is already simmering with tension. It’s a peculiar time when the Jedi are desperately needed to preserve peace and uphold the balance of the Force in systems across the galaxy. This captivating tale I’ve come across is titled “The Glass Abyss“.

There’s a strong chance this book will reveal previously unknown facts about Mace Windu, as well as details about Qui-Gon Jinn that were only known to his inner circle. This has been an exceptional year for Star Wars prequels, and there’s more excitement still to come!

On October 15, 2024, the book “Star Wars: Mace Windu – The Glass Abyss” written by Steven Barnes will be available for purchase at all retailers where Star Wars books are sold.
