Unstoppable trailer: Jennifer Lopez pulls off an Oscar-worthy performance in her ex Ben Affleck's film

As a lifestyle expert with a keen eye for cinematic excellence and a deep appreciation for powerful performances, I am thoroughly excited about the upcoming release of “Unstoppable.” Having spent years observing the dynamic interplay between personal struggles and triumphant achievements, I can confidently say that Jennifer Lopez‘s portrayal of Judy Robles in this sports biopic is destined to leave a lasting impact.

The first trailer for the new movie Unstoppable was shared on Wednesday.

In the video, Jennifer Lopez portrays Judy Robles, a tenacious mother who raises an athletic son despite his challenge of being born with only one leg.

The movie icon dazzled as she yelled, cried and pulled out some of her Bronx ‘tude.

Lopez emphatically declares, “I won’t allow my son to give up on wrestling or his education,” she tells those who doubt him.

In Lopez’s words, “When people look at you, they don’t perceive a person with a missing limb; instead, they recognize an individual who is indomitable. You have the power to demonstrate to them that everything is achievable.

Jennifer Lopez’s role is generating talk about potential Oscar nominations, possibly placing her in the Best Supporting Actress category.

The movie comes in theaters on December 6 and will be on Prime on January 16.

The biographical film about a sports figure, co-produced by Ben Affleck (Lopez’s former partner) and Matt Damon, features Jharrel Jerome portraying the role of Anthony Robles, a true wrestler who was born without one leg.

Lopez is seen helping her son believe in himself.

‘You can show them anything is possible,’ Lopez’s mom tells her boy.

Lopez is showcased all through the trailer, including scenes at home with her spouse (portrayed by Bobby Cannavale, aged 54), as they enjoy wrestling contests together.

Moreover, a praise for Jennifer’s outstanding acting performance, as described by Deadline, is displayed on the screen too.

All signs point to Jennifer entering the 2025 Oscar race.

Lopez hasn’t received a nomination for an Academy Award yet, but she’s been recognized with nods for two Golden Globe Awards and an Emmy Award instead.

Though Lopez is a major highlight in the film, the lead role is about the wrestler.

He was born in Arizona and wants to become the biggest wrestler in the world.

‘Why do you wrestle?’ asks Anthony’s coach Bobby Williams, played by Michael Peña, in the trailer.

As a dedicated follower, I might say, “When someone initially looks at me, they may notice what appears to be absent, but if I triumph, it won’t be my single leg that defines me the most.

Lopez’s ex Affleck has produced with pal Matt Damon for their production company Artists Equity.

The film is directed by William Goldenberg.

In the cast, you’ll find Don Cheadle portraying Arizona State coach Shawn Charles and Bobby Cannavale in the role of Anthony’s stepfather, Rich.

55-year-old Lopez shared with People that playing a part in a troubled, unwell marriage was a deeply releasing experience for her.

She added, ‘Women who are moms who get in relationships, and you struggle with them, and you find yourself in dynamics that are not healthy, but you care about the person, love the person… That’s those complicated dynamics about life that I understand really well.’

Jennifer filed for divorce from Ben on August 20 after two years of marriage.
