Unseen photos of Noel and Liam Gallagher’s ‘top secret’ reunion photoshoot reveal brother’s ‘electric’ chemistry
As a die-hard Oasis fan since the days of Britpop, I must say the recent developments have my heart racing like it was 1995 all over again! The anticipation is killing me – I can almost feel the rush of adrenaline as I dive headfirst into another “Wonderwall” of excitement.
This collection features previously undisclosed images capturing the encounter between Noel and Liam Gallagher during a clandestine photoshoot, prior to their astonishing Oasis reunion concert tour.
Instead of their fifteen-year-long dispute, the Manchester siblings chose to collaborate with photographer Simon Emmett for a joint effort, capturing images to publicize their extensive tour spanning across the United Kingdom and Ireland.
Fans of Oasis were concerned that they might not witness the Gallagher brothers together again after their shocking altercation backstage during the Rock en Seine festival in Paris, 2009.
However, they had a clandestine meeting during the summer’s heatwave to capture the promotional shots prior to today’s unveiling.
In a recent occasion, photographs – featuring a striking black-and-white contrast – marking their reunion after many years apart, were skillfully captured by Mr. Emmett, a photographer with an impressive resume that includes collaboration with Liam for El Pais Icon magazine in 2019 and gracing the cover of Esquire in 2015 with Notel.
Despite their stern expressions and casual postures, like they’re hiding something in their denim pockets, there was apparently a strong, dynamic energy between them, or ‘electric’ chemistry. Liam, the one with a close-cropped haircut, dons a sleek black leather jacket, while Noel sticks to his usual short, workmanlike jacket style.
Instead of assuming that Noel, 57, and Liam, 51, might have taken separate photos which were later combined digitally because of their strained relationship, they surprisingly collaborated to produce the highly anticipated photograph together.
According to the source, despite appearances suggesting manipulation with Photoshop, both individuals were indeed present, and they had actually met in person. (The Mirror)
‘They were laughing and joking. It was great to see after all the years apart.’
In the spotlight for his captivating celebrity portraits and stunning beauty shots, Mr. Emmett snapped the evocative black-and-white picture featuring the intense pair.
As a diehard Oasis enthusiast, I’ve been sworn to secrecy, but let me just say that behind closed doors, the legendary duo has been hatching plans for an anticipated comeback. Even the team members privy to these clandestine meetings have had to put their lips to paper and promise not a peep about what’s brewing!
A source told the The Sun: ‘It was a pinch me moment to have Noel and Liam together’.
1. The filming was highly classified and only a few people were aware of it. It’s going to be a fantastic surprise for fans when they reunite on screen again. The energy in the room was palpable, it was charged with excitement.
After the announcement, when their enthusiastic fans flock to purchase the tickets, that’s when the real work begins, as they prepare for their much-anticipated joint performance.
TopMob contacted Oasis’ representatives for comment.
The legendary Britpop group put an end to the rumors by officially announcing a series of concerts – non-televised events – in Cardiff, Manchester, London, Edinburgh, and Dublin for the upcoming summer season.
The 14-show tour will run from July 4 to August 17, kicking off at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium before the brothers pack out Heaton Park in Manchester, Wembley in London, Murrayfield in Edinburgh and Croke Park in Dublin.
Although there have been rumors suggesting that Oasis might play at Glastonbury 2025, it seems they won’t be gracing the stage at Worthy Farm. Yet, preparations are being made for Oasis to tour other continents apart from Europe sometime in the following year.
Excitedly revealing our Oasis Live 25 tour and their long-awaited reunion photo, the iconic group declared: ‘Our battle is ended. Fate has conspired. Our long anticipation is finally at an end. Join us, as this extraordinary moment will not be broadcast.’
1) The Oasis site went down straight away following the announcement, with fans going wild in excitement. The reunion coincides exactly with the day the band parted ways on August 28, 2009, a day before.
During his headline slot at Reading Liam performed a number of Oasis hits from their debut album Definitely Maybe to celebrate its 30th anniversary.
Presenting “Half The World Away” – a 1994 B-side, famously used as the theme for the popular sitcom “The Royle Family”. In front of the crowd, he declared: “I’d like to dedicate this song to Noel, well, let’s just say, Noel Gallagher.”
As a devoted admirer, I chose to maintain an element of mystery by dedicating my performance of “Cigarettes & Alcohol” at the Reading Festival to those with less-than-fond feelings towards Oasis.
On their 1994 debut album Definitely Maybe, the last single released was a song penned by his elder brother.
At the end of his performance, Liam proposed that an announcement would be shared on Tuesday at 8:00am. A brief video featuring the iconic Oasis logo was displayed on a giant screen and later posted on the official Instagram and X accounts of Oasis, Noel, and Liam.
In the center of the white, rectangular-shaped object, there was initially a black block. On this black block, the date “27.08.24” was visible, a spot typically reserved for the band’s name. Later, it flashed and displayed the text “8am” instead.
Recently, Liam has expressed a strong desire to reconcile with his elder brother and revive their famous Britpop group. However, his brother has shown reluctance towards this plan.
Ever since the split with his ex-wife Sara MacDonald and that hefty £20m divorce bill last year, I’ve found myself hoping and urging – maybe even a tad obsessively – for Noel Gallagher to reunite Oasis for gigs at iconic venues like Glastonbury and Wembley Stadium. The rumor mill suggests he’s been swayed by the financial advantages of such an event.
It’s anticipated that this tour will break records as the most attended concert series in British history, with industry experts predicting the brothers will earn approximately £50 million from the deal they’ve struck.
Fans of Oasis were set abuzz when Liam hinted at a potential nationwide tour by the band next year, suggesting they will perform “Don’t Look Back In Anger.”
Asked on X, formerly Twitter, about the planned Oasis shows, Liam wrote: ‘See you down the front’.
He later told his 3.6m followers on the platform: ‘I never did like that word FORMER’.
Regardless of the improvement in their relationship, the younger Gallagher sibling still couldn’t help but take a jab at his brother. When asked what he would tell Noel upon their return to the stage, he replied playfully, “Carry on.”
