“Unmissable!”: 6 brilliant TV shows coming to Netflix, Sky, BBC and more this week

We’re back with a weekly run-down of the best tv shows to watch this week.

Okay, so as a gamer, I’m pretty excited about this! Martin Compston, who you might know from Line of Duty, is going to be in a new thriller with Aimee-Ffion Edwards from Slow Horses. It’s a revenge story, and apparently, things get seriously dangerous. Sounds like a good watch!

Taylor Swift fans – and there are a lot of them! – will be excited to learn that Disney+ is creating a documentary showing how her Eras Tour came together.

The Revenge Club

Martin Compston, known for his role in Line of Duty, stars in the new six-episode series, The Revenge Club. The show, inspired by JD Pennington’s novel The Othello Club, centers around six isolated individuals who find a connection through a divorce support group.

Haunted by painful experiences from previous relationships, they unite and devise a surprisingly bold plan to get back at those who wronged them.

Things escalate rapidly, and what starts as harmless mischief quickly becomes dangerous and even fatal. The series also features Aimee-Ffion Edwards, known for her role in Slow Horses.

The Revenge Club is available to watch from Friday 12 December on Paramount+.

Irish Blood

Featuring Alicia Silverstone, known for her role in the 90s hit Clueless, Irish Blood follows Fiona Sharpe, a divorce lawyer, whose life is turned upside down when she receives a mysterious package. The package contains a coded message from the father who left her as a child.

When Sharpe travels to Ireland to decipher a message from her father, she uncovers hidden truths about his life. Viewers on IMDb have praised the series as highly engaging. You can watch “Irish Blood” starting Sunday, December 14th, at 9pm on Sky Witness.

Taylor Swift: The End of an Era

Taylor Swift fans won’t want to miss a new six-part documentary series about her incredible Eras Tour!

This series offers a personal look into the life of the artist, showing how her incredibly successful tour came together. It includes interviews and footage of the people who made it happen – her band, dancers, crew, and family – as well as appearances by other well-known names like Sabrina Carpenter, Ed Sheeran, Florence Welch, Gracie Abrams, and Travis Kelce.

Taylor Swift: The End of an Era is available to watch from Friday 12 December on Disney+.

Simon Cowell: The Next Act

Simon Cowell, famous for hit reality shows and launching the careers of many top musicians, is now taking on a new project.

A new Netflix series will document Simon Cowell as he searches for his next big musical act. The show will give viewers an inside look at the entire process, from initial auditions to the release of the group’s first song (according to Netflix’s Tudum blog).

Simon Cowell: The Next Act is available to watch from Wednesday 10 December on Netflix.

Single Papa

Single Papa is a funny and touching movie about Gaurav Gehlot (Kunal Kemmu), who unexpectedly becomes a dad after his divorce. The film follows this somewhat immature man as he navigates the challenges and joys of adopting a baby, as described by Netflix.

His family was surprised and confused by his choices, and while they don’t necessarily agree with them, they’re still supporting him. Netflix calls Single Papa a show full of flavor, warmth, and the vibrant spirit of Indian families.
