Unlock the Secrets of Palia’s Powerful Elderwood Relics!

The latest expansion for the friendly MMO game Palia, titled Elderwood, has been launched, offering a myriad of fresh mechanics and an expansive area to traverse. Packed with numerous quests, creatures, and novel resources to collect, there’s no shortage of activities to engage in as you soak up the stunning vistas. Among the new additions is relics, potent new equipment designed to assist you in accumulating Elderwood’s unique currency – Infected Essence.

In the Elderwood expansion, there’s plenty of fresh material for exploration, including magical concoctions now offered by Tamala, as well as the option to construct a personalized travel board for smoother navigation. A significant portion of Elderwood-related content revolves around Infected Essence, which serves as currency for purchasing items from Tamala and Subira, and can be obtained by interacting with the infected creatures in the new region. Although this process may take time, it becomes much more manageable with the addition of relics, which grant significant bonuses to you and your team.

How To Get Relics In Palia

Exchange Artifacts For Tokens To Buy Relic Schematics

You can acquire the relics by buying the crafting blueprints from Elouisa at the Elderwood Central Stable following the completion of the quest “Pieces of the Past”. This tutorial will familiarize you with the workings of artifacts and relics, and Elouisa and Caleri will guide you through the process of donating artifacts. Upon delivering your first artifact, you’ll receive one of Elouisa’s Fun Bucks as a reward, which can be traded for either a relic design or an Artifact Tracker.

It would be beneficial for you to acquire the Artifact Tracker prior to purchasing any relic schematics, as it simplifies locating artifact sites considerably. Once you have the tracker, artifact sites will appear on your compass and can be excavated using a gardening hoe. After unearthing these artifacts, they can be handed in to contribute to various collections. Upon completing a collection, you’ll receive additional Elouisa’s Fun Bucks as a reward, which can then be utilized for purchasing relic schematics.

As a dedicated fan, I’m always excited when I come across a new relic schematic. Each one of these opens up a fresh quest from Elouisa, who guides me through the list of items required to craft the relic. Once I’ve collected all the necessary items and purchased an Enchanting Runestone from Tamala, it’s time to head to the Elderwood Central Stables and their Relic Crafter table to finally bring the relic to life!

What Each Elderwood Relic Does

Each Of The Four Relics Offers A Different Buff

In Palia, there are four artifacts to gather and transform for your personal use and that of any party members you’re with. Once crafted, these artifacts can be enhanced, and each one has four levels of improvement. As each level is reached, the buff it provides becomes stronger, making the artifact more valuable.

Relic Tier I Tier II Tier III Tier IV
Bag of Illusion Allows you to gather from infected plants and trees without using Tamala’s Elderwood potion. Same as the previous tier and also allows you to catch infected insects without needing special smoke bombs. Same as previous tiers and also allows you to catch infected fish without the need for a special attachment. Same as previous tiers and also allows you to hunt infect creatures without needing special arrows.
Brighteye Amulet Grants a small bonus to all Infected Essence gathered from infected creatures and gatherables. Grants a medium bonus to all Infected Essence gathered from infected creatures and gatherables. Grants a large bonus to all Infected Essence gathered from infected creatures and gatherables. Grants a massive bonus to all Infected Essence gathered from infected creatures and gatherables.
Elderwood Idol Allows you to track infected trees and plants on your compass. Same as previous tier and also allows you to track infected insects. Same as previous tiers and also allows you to track infected fish nodes. Same as previous tiers and also allows you to track infected huntable creatures.
Guiding Lantern Boosts the other relics in a party to Tier II. Boosts the other relics in a party to Tier III. Boosts the other relics in a party to Tier IV. Boosts the other relics in a party to beyond their current tier limits.

It appears that the Bag of Illusion is most suitable for single-player sessions, since it simplifies the collection of Elderwood resources without the need to expend time and supplies on specific ammunition. On the other hand, the Guiding Lantern and Elderwood Idol are ideal when playing in a group, as their buffs can be shared among all players, facilitating the tracking and accumulation of Infected Essence for everyone.

How To Equip & Upgrade Relics

Relics Can Be Equipped & Upgrade At The Central Stables.

In order to adorn the relic, you should navigate to Elderwood Central Stables first. Once there, access your inventory. You’ll notice an additional slot for accessories, situated between your glider and pet. Click on this new slot to open a pop-up menu where you can select the relic you wish to equip. Remember, only one relic can be equipped at any given time.

You can buy enhancements for your relics at Palia’s latest Relic Crafters, which are located at Central Stables, specifically from Elouisa’s stand. These Fun Bucks of hers will be the currency you need. Keep in mind that each upgrade comes with a specific crafting prerequisite and you’ll have to collect resources scattered throughout Elderwood. After gathering all required materials, bring them back to any of the new Relic Crafters to craft your newly upgraded relic.
