Universal Studios Hollywood closed Wednesday due to L.A. fires
I’m temporarily unable to visit Universal Studios Hollywood or enjoy shopping at CityWalk this Wednesday, as they have been forced to close due to the raging fires and severe wind conditions sweeping across Southern California.
According to their online announcement, the amusement park plans to evaluate the circumstances further and aims to resume operations by Thursday.
“The safety of our team members and our guests is our top priority,” the statement said.
A powerful, extreme windstorm, which began on Tuesday, has sparked numerous fires across various regions in Southern California.
In the Pacific Palisades region, the Palisades fire has scorched over 3,000 acres and decimated numerous homes, businesses, and iconic landmarks. Meanwhile, the Eaton fire has torched over 1,000 acres and countless houses in Pasadena and Altadena, and the Hurst fire, situated near Sylmar, has charred more than 500 acres.
