The “memorable” serial killer thriller titled “Strange Darling“, featuring Willa Fitzgerald, has secured a fresh streaming platform in the United Kingdom as its new residence.
2024’s movie penned and helmed by JT Mollner features Reacher star, Fitzgerald, portraying an unnamed woman in a cat-and-mouse chase after a strange one-night encounter escalates into a deadly series of murders orchestrated by a ruthless serial killer.
Featuring Kyle Gallner and Barbara Hershey, the movie titled “Strange Darling” initially had a limited run on cinema screens, but fans of the genre can now enjoy its suspenseful moments as it’s been added to Sky Cinema and NOW in the UK.
Although Strange Darling didn’t make a big splash at the box office and isn’t widely recognized, it has earned critical praise. As of now, it holds an almost perfect score of 96% on Rotten Tomatoes, based on 157 reviews.

Empire Magazine expressed similar praise, stating: “This sun-soaked serial-killer thriller appears to follow a familiar path, but surprises you when it deviates. A cleverly structured story, driven by outstanding acting from Willa Fitzgerald, it’s a compact film that packs a powerful punch.
According to both Variety and The Guardian, the movie “Strange Darling” is best enjoyed when watched without much prior knowledge, requiring some patience. However, they also emphasize that it offers rich rewards for those who persist, with its unique style described as meticulously crafted with a high level of precision and discipline.
Upon its launch, Fitzgerald confided in Digital Spy that the movie was fulfilling despite the challenging production phase, elaborating: “We faced numerous obstacles, yet our shared determination to narrate this tale drove us forward.
It’s safe to say that despite its challenges, most of us can appreciate that this job allowed for moments when we could look back at the end of the day and feel a sense of accomplishment, knowing we achieved something truly remarkable.
