UNDERCOVER SS26 Merges Past, Present, and Future With Nostalgic Elegance

Summary

  • Jun Takahashi’s UNDERCOVER has returned to Paris Fashion Week to present its Spring/Summer 2026 men’s collection
  • Titled “but beautiful 4.5…”, it pays homage to the beloved “But Beautiful” from FW04, which was the subject of UNDERCOVER’s women’s collection for Fall/Winter 2025
  • The 51-look range features collaborations with Emma Bennett, OTW by Vans, Dickies, and Champion

Once more, Jun Takahashi graced Paris Fashion Week with his presence, revealing glimpses of the UNDERCOVER Men’s Spring/Summer 2026 collection through a lookbook and exhibition space.

A Modern Spin on ‘But Beautiful 4.5…’ – A Reflection of Takahashi’s ‘But Beautiful’ for Fall/Winter 2004, presented with a contemporary perspective. This method was also applied to UNDERCOVER’s women’s collection for Fall/Winter 2025, showcasing an array of shapes, many featuring curved seams, and adorning the models. Recurring themes can be found, such as references to singer Patti Smith, whose lyrics from “People Have The Power” are emblazoned on numerous items.

As a devoted follower, I can’t help but appreciate how collaborations have become the heart and soul of Undercover’s 51-look range. It all starts with the captivating artwork by Welsh painter Emma Bennett, harmoniously blending with the ethereal aesthetic that Takahashi has so skillfully cultivated throughout Undercover’s impressive 30-year journey.

Champion and OTW by Vans are back in action, joining forces once more to produce extraordinary co-designed pieces, such as innovative spins on the iconic Slip-On and Sk8-Hi silhouettes. On the other hand, Dickies is a fresh addition to the Undercover universe, lending its robust workwear collection for Takahashi to elegantly reinterpret with graceful curved seams that beautifully juxtapose Dickies’ rugged heritage.

Get a sneak peek at UNDERCOVER’s SS26 “beautiful 4.5” collection showcased above, and keep an eye out for the release details as we anticipate the collection and its collaborations to roll out incrementally during the first half of next year.
