Unconvinced
Friends of Anthea Turner were crossing their fingers for a successful outcome when socialite Mark Armstrong popped the question to the TV personality, who had been divorced twice, during a romantic getaway in Italy in 2019, following a quick two-month courtship.
Currently, it’s been revealed that the wedding has been postponed – for the fourth time. Some friends remain skeptical, doubting if it will eventually take place.
Initially, the wedding was planned for Italy in the year 2022. However, it’s been moved forward a year to 2023, and the venue has changed from Italy to Britain instead.
64-year-old Anthea, who was once a Blue Peter presenter and later known as television’s golden girl on shows like GMTV, has shared that she and Armstrong, 59, have put their wedding plans on hold. During the launch event of Undercroft Mayfair restaurant in London, headed by TV chef Aldo Zilli, Anthea mentioned to attendees, “We often tell friends, ‘We’ll figure it out,’ but for now, our wedding plans remain unresolved.

She shares with me: ‘We have a strong bond that feels similar to marriage. However, the actual event has not taken place yet due to several reasons – first, both our mothers passed away; second, we had to deal with the pandemic; and third, we recently started living together more permanently.’
In the year 2008, Anthea, aged 64 at present, parted ways with her initial husband, DJ Peter Powell. Subsequently, she tied the knot with businessman Grant Bovey. Unfortunately, their marriage ended in divorce in 2015 due to Grant’s infidelity involving a 24-year-old individual.
Anthea suggests that we might secretly get married during a vacation, then inform everyone afterwards.
Marquess’s business partners jailed over £13m contempt case
In my perspective, there aren’t many real estate tycoons as deeply rooted in nobility as I am, being the 8th Marquess of Aberdeen, George Gordon.
Beyond maintaining a discerning watch over the 5,000-acre Haddo Estate, a property that has been under Gordon family stewardship for over half a millennium, he also excels at repurposing distinguished structures into one-of-a-kind workspaces, in collaboration with his business partner, Sam Lawson Johnston.
Although they may have a lofty mission, as stated on their company’s site, Kinrise, which is to view things through four aspects: human, social, environmental, and financial – they can’t be dismissed as detached from rougher or less refined parts of society.
It’s worth mentioning that one of their collaborations involves a company known as Inc & Co, which they describe as a private equity firm on their official website.
It’s worth noting that two former members of its board were sentenced to serve 22 months in prison. This decision came following a court ruling which discovered that they had falsified information extensively, leading to the transfer of approximately £13.7 million to the British Virgin Islands.
David Antrobus and Jack Mason, who were appointed directors of Inc & Co in 2019 when it was established, have been with the company since then until recently, just prior to their court hearing eight weeks ago. The judge found them in contempt of court for intentionally and strategically disregarding orders that aimed to protect the £13.7 million, which had been issued to ensure safety.
Instead, the money disappeared from Barclays Bank and went to firms under their control in the Caribbean. The Inc & Co blog still refers to Mason as the company’s chief executive officer.

For the Marquess of Aberdeen, it’s disconcerting to see overly flattering remarks attributed to his company, Kinrise, who are reported to be “thrilled” about Inc & Co having secured tenants for the historic and attractive Manchester building, thereby revitalizing it once more.
neither Antrobus (aged 38) nor Mason (aged 35) were present at the court hearing, leading the judge to issue arrest warrants for them instead.
or
Neither Antrobus (age 38) nor Mason (age 35) showed up in court, causing the judge to order their arrests through warrants.
or
Both Antrobus (aged 38) and Mason (aged 35) failed to appear in court, resulting in the judge issuing warrants for their arrest.
However, the founder of Scott Dylan – Inc & Co, as stated on their website, is currently imprisoned following his receipt of a 22-month sentence.
‘He was sent to Pentonville,’ I’m told. ‘Now he’s in HMP Woodhill, in Milton Keynes.’
It might take a while for the Marquess (aged 41) and Lawson Johnston (aged 42) to completely sever ties with their unpleasant business associates.
According to Lawson Johnston, since the matter is being handled by the court right now, there isn’t much we can discuss about it at this time.
It appears that Scott Dylan is quite likely to find the next few months exciting, given that the Inc & Co website characterizes him as a person who thrives on delving into the cultural aspects of new places.
Buon direction for Harry’s Italian job
Is Harry Styles nearly as renowned for his romantic relationships as for his work in theater and film? Yet, one may wonder if he’s discovered lasting affection since splitting with Canadian actress, Taylor Russell, in May.
I wonder about this because it seems like his current fascination with Italy is deepening into something significant. You may have heard that the ex-member of One Direction, who turns 31 next week, appears to be planning a permanent move to Italy, based on the evidence available.
As I was informed by an ardent fan, he’s constructing a studio of his own, nestled beyond the city limits of Rome. Reminiscing about his 2023 Love On Tour finale, he conversed effortlessly in Italian then – quite splendid indeed!
The smart set’s talking about… Rocco Forte’s son Charles becoming engaged
Sir Rocco Forte, a prominent figure in the hotel industry, has just expanded his family dynasty. His sole son, Charles, has become engaged to fashion designer Georgie Wright. “Georgie and I got engaged over Christmas while we were with my family,” Charles shares. “It’s been an incredibly joyful period, and we are eagerly anticipating our wedding, which is expected to occur in May of the coming year.
Charles, aged 33, shares the same name as his grandpa, Lord Forte – the well-known hotelier and close associate of Margaret Thatcher, who was renowned in Britain for owning Trusthouse Forte.
Dick Van Dyke, who turns 100 this year, states that he’s never received the earnings from the iconic film “Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.” As a seasoned American actor, known for his controversial attempt at portraying ‘cockney’ in Mary Poppins as Bert, Dick played the lead character Caractacus Potts in the 1968 film. This production was filmed in Britain and was adapted from the children’s book by Ian Fleming, famously known for his James Bond novels. Now, he declares that he should own a 20% stake in this movie, but to date, no profit checks have been received… they simply never arrived.
Jeremy (miscast) Irons
Even though it’s uncertain who will play the next James Bond, Oscar-winning actor Jeremy Irons shares his thoughts about declining the part back in the 1980s.
‘Cubby Broccoli, the Bond producer, dropped by for a chat. There was a chance… but I wasn’t particularly excited about it. Instead of me, they selected Timothy Dalton after Sean Connery and Roger Moore. In retrospect, I may have made a mistake: it wouldn’t have negatively affected my career in the slightest.’
Additionally, Irons declined the role of Hannibal Lecter prior to Sir Anthony Hopkins being cast.
Although I doubt I could have pulled it off as well as Anthony Hopkins, I now understand that my actions might have been missteps. Furthermore, I seemed to be gathering an unusual number of peculiar individuals with a shadowy background.
Lady Victoria’s happy to be one of Trump’s golden girls
According to President Donald Trump, his second term signifies the start of a “golden age” for the United States, and it seems that Lady Victoria Hervey concurs with this perspective.
This week, the Marquess of Bristol’s sibling traveled to Washington D.C. to express her backing for Trump during his inaugural festivities.
48-year-old Lady Victoria wore a £400 golden-sequined bomber jacket embellished with the phrase ‘Trump The Golden Age’ on it.
The ‘it girl’ informs me that she purchased a jacket in Texas, and since then, numerous individuals have inquired about it and even attempted to buy it directly from her, offering twice as much as she initially paid for it.
According to her, her interests have shifted. Instead of attending fashion shows, she finds it more captivating to engage with global leaders now.
(Very) modern manners
As a lifestyle expert, I’d rephrase it like this: In a personal account, Alan Titchmarsh shares an amusing anecdote from his meeting with Queen Elizabeth. She playfully remarked, “You bring joy to many women.” Now, the gardening maestro unveils his pet peeves in horticulture – over-enthusiastic signage and the sometimes troublesome gladioli. He even confessed to having a hot tub in his garden, an indulgence he once viewed with skepticism. This revelation can be found on the Scribehound gardening website under Titch’s pen.

Sam’s girl opens up on her love life
Actress Samantha Morton significantly shifted her professional path last year by parting ways with her longtime representatives, Conway Van Gelder Grant, following her daughter, Esme Creed-Miles, who is also an actress, exiting the same agency. More recently, Esme has openly disclosed aspects of her personal life to the public.
24-year-old up-and-coming figure openly identified herself as a ‘lesbian of Jewish background’ on her social media platforms this week.
Esmé, daughter of the 52-year-old actor Charlie Creed-Miles, has been featured in the television series “The Doll Factory” and will soon be seen in Netflix’s upcoming adaptation of Neil Gaiman’s graphic novels “The Sandman.
In the 1980s, Nigella Lawson parted ways with renowned lawyer Geoffrey Robertson KC, but the influence of the culinary icon allegedly haunted his subsequent marriage to author Kathy Lette. Robertson, now 78, and Lette, 66, divorced in 2017, and the writer recently disclosed: “I’ve got a little secret for you. When I first met Geoffrey, he was dating Nigella. He ended things with her for me. And guess what? I can barely boil an egg! I rely on my smoke alarm as a timer! I believe he may have regretted his decision.
At the Savile Club of Mayfair, tempers are running high as the upcoming vote on admitting female members approaches. Originally, the club intended to enable remote voting, but this plan had to be abandoned following a legal threat that could prove expensive. The atmosphere in the bar is decidedly unpleasant.
