Una Healy hit by a storm of criticism as fans slam The Saturdays star for her ‘off-key’ Mighty Hoopla performance

Fans have criticized Una Healy, stating that her performance at the Mighty Hoopla festival in London on Saturday seemed to be slightly off-tune.

43-year-old icon of Saturdays dazzled on stage in a sparkling two-piece denim ensemble.

As a devoted fan, I took to the stage during the small hours, belting out some iconic tunes from my 2000s girl band days – songs like All Fired Up, Higher, and Notorious.

However, when she performed Ego at its release in 2010, some fans weren’t satisfied with her rendition. It’s unclear if technical difficulties were the culprit, as Una is generally known for her lovely singing tone.

A video snippet of her performance was uploaded onto TikTok, prompting a flood of comments from excited fans, all expressing the same praise.

They commented: ‘That was completely off-key at the start lol.’

‘What key is that?’

‘Was it off key? ….YES! Did I love every minute of it? YES! I’d love a Saturdays reunion.’

‘I don’t think she can hear herself.’

‘Una is an amazing singer…obviously can’t hear herself.’

‘Sounds drunk.’

It comes after Una teased the future of The Saturdays following months of speculation.

For the past two months or so, there’s been a lot of talk among fans about the possibility of a reunion for this popular music group, as they hinted at it following their indefinite break-up in 2014.

In the previous year, there were hints of a band reunion following a gathering of some members who shared a string of group photos on social media.

Frankie Bridge recently had a much-awaited reunion with her friend, Vanessa White, and they were joined by another friend, Leah Meredith, for a photo opportunity.

In a similar turn of events, Una was in touch with Vanessa, who responded to one of her snaps saying, ‘I can hardly believe it’s almost 7 years since we last met! I still love you.’

She mentioned to Metro in February that the ladies remain great friends and have a strong bond. She expressed her hope for a reunion at some point in the future.

‘I’m always the one going, “come on girls, let’s do it.”

It won’t take place this year, I assure you. Instead, let’s hope for it to occur sometime in the future.

On weekends, the band known as “The Saturdays” was quite famous, having been established back in 2007. They enjoyed considerable acclaim with numerous chart-topping singles to their name.

Since their hiatus, the members have all gone on to pursue various solo projects.

Rochelle Humes is widely recognized due to her appearances on various television programs, where she’s shared hosting duties with others on shows such as “This Morning” and “The Hit List”.

In addition to appearing on popular reality TV shows like “I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!”, Frankie has also authored a Sunday Times bestseller.

Mollie King has been a radio host for BBC Radio 1, whereas Vanessa has primarily pursued her own music career individually.

As for Una, she has also pursued a solo music career.

This year, she managed to secure a spot in the popular Netflix reality series, Celebrity Bear Hunt, which features an array of well-known personalities.
