In an unexpected turn of events, a notorious villain from the Avengers team has resurfaced on Disney+. In a unique twist, Marvel presented viewers with a strangely altered version of James Spader’s initial AI character, the lethal robot from “Avengers: Age of Ultron,” within the special episode of “Get to Know Iron Man and His Amazing Cohorts“.
After Ultron made his debut in Disney+’s “What If…?”, Marvel introduced what might be the most unusual incarnation of the metal menace yet, in the preschool series on Disney Jr., titled “Meet Iron Man and His Awesome Friends“. In episode 9, called “Meet Ultron“, this version of Ultron looks significantly different from the familiar AI character known for his monologues about extinction. For fans who are accustomed to seeing the villain as a menacing troublemaker, it’s quite strange to find him presented as a lovable culprit instead.

As I marvel at this unique version of Ultron, his goofy voice and youthful appearance only scratch the surface of his oddities. When he adopts a specific stance, it’s reminiscent of the eccentric anime “JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Diamond is Unbreakable,” suggesting that the creators behind “Meet Iron Man and His Awesome Friends” were undeniably enjoying themselves during this episode’s production.

Additionally, in this portrayal, Ultron shows an unusual fondness for teddy bears. The story revolves around his attempt to seize every toy, particularly soft and cuddly plush animals. However, it’s not until Tony Stark employs a teddy bear as a decoy that he successfully halts Ultron, compelling him to return all the children’s items.

In the series titled “Meet Iron Man and His Amazing Companions,” Ultron makes his second appearance on Disney+, with his destructive sprees in the “What If…?” series marking his first. Notably, Ross Marquand provides the voice for Ultron in this show. However, this isn’t the last time viewers will encounter the metallic adversary on the streaming platform.

This animated series titled “Meet Iron Man and His Exceptional Companions” features Mason Blomberg portraying Tony Stark aka Iron Man, Kapri Ladd as Riri Williams also known as Ironheart, and Aidyn Ahn as Amadeus Cho who takes on the role of Iron Hulk. You can catch new episodes of this exciting show streaming on Disney Jr. and Disney+.
Ultron’s Next Disney+ Appearance Is Also Confirmed To Be Weird?

Fans surprised by Disney Jr.’s quirky, clumsy Ultron character should be aware that his appearances on Disney+ are far from over. In fact, the villain is set to reappear on the streaming service in 2026 for Marvel Studios’ “Vision Quest,” alongside a group of AI characters from Marvel.
In a change of pace, Ultron, as portrayed by James Spader, is not expected to resemble his previous appearances in “Age of Ultron,” “What If…?”, or Disney Jr.’s “Meet Iron Man.” Instead, he’ll be presented in human form. This new version could mark the third distinct portrayal of the MCU antagonist across three different Disney+ shows, with his upcoming appearances significantly deviating from the Ultron fans initially met in 2015.
