Tsuburaya Productions Limited has unveiled its upcoming match-3 game titled “Ultraman Puzzle Shuwatch!!”. This game is scheduled to release on Android and iOS platforms this year. The development of the game is being jointly handled by Metafield Inc. and Studio Inc., which are affiliated companies under Tsuburaya Fields Holdings Group.

Hey there! Being someone who fondly remembers the days of playing with my trusty Ultraman toy and watching him save the world on TV, I’m absolutely pumped for this new game. Despite being a match-3 puzzle title, it offers an incredible array of Ultra Heroes and Monsters spanning from the Showa era to the current Reiwa. That’s enough to make any Ultraman fan like me eager to give it a spin!

Over 60 heroes and kaiju from different eras await you

The game is based on the distant planet Milanos in outer space, where you can interact with or unlock over 60 unique characters. Among these characters are beloved Ultra heroes such as Ultraman, Ultraman Tiga Multi Type, and Ultra Seven. Additionally, you’ll find famous Kaijus like Alien Baltan, Gomorrah, and Zetton and many more.

Although I haven’t formed a complete opinion about the game just yet, it seems designed to appeal to a broader range of players with its straightforward match-3 puzzle mechanics. However, I suspect another genre could have been more fitting for this renowned IP. Still, I’m eager to discover what innovative ideas the developers are working on.
