Ulrika Jonsson, 57, reveals majority of the men she’s dated have been ‘decades younger’ than her after going through a ‘five-year drought’
As an ardent admirer of Ulrika Jonsson, I must say her life experiences and candid approach to sharing them are nothing short of captivating. Her journey through love and relationships, marked by age gaps and a penchant for the younger men, has been a rollercoaster ride that leaves us all in awe.
Ulrika Jonsson shared that most men she’s been involved with are significantly younger than herself, following a period where she found few romantic prospects.
The well-known television figure, aged 57, opened up about her personal dating experiences over the past five years in a sincere disclosure, revealing her relationships with Brian Monet, Lance Gerrard-Wright, and John Turnbull.
She confessed that my age seemed a bit dull to her, with too much history attached, which is why she favors dating younger men.
In her article for The Sun, Ulrika confessed that most of her dating experiences from the last five years have involved substantial age differences.
As it turns out, gentlemen my own age haven’t quite sparked my interest, they seem stuck in their routines and burdened with more baggage than Heathrow’s Terminal 5. In fact, I’ve found myself playing the role of a confidant for some. Not for me, old chap!
She added: “For the last five years, I’ve experienced a significant lack of suitable, fascinating, quality men. Despite this, I don’t believe myself to be particularly unlucky when it comes to love.
After Hannah Waddingham shared her desires in a potential partner, discussing her current dry spell in dating, Ulrika responded with her thoughts.
The actress, who is now 50, openly admitted that it has been years since her last date, and she finds it challenging to recall the feeling of being in a dating situation again.
But sharing her advice, Ulrika advised the actress to ‘consider a younger man.’
Following the divorce with her third spouse, Brian Monet, in 2019, Ulrika ventured into online dating for the first time, a place where she admitted that she overlooked setting an age restriction.
In 2022, Ulrika opened up about sleeping with younger men, but denied that she was ‘ageist’.
She told Loose Women that she had been seeing men up to 28 years her junior, with the youngest admirer only 26.
She admitted: ‘Recent ones, I’ve only really had dates, I guess, I’ve not had a relationship with anybody – but the dates have been a little younger, yes. They didn’t know I was Ulrika Jonsson, which was great.’
She added thoughtfully: ‘That’s the dream, to have someone just take you for who you are. I guess the youngest was 26. So yeah 26, 30 ish.’
Regarding her perfect partner, Ulrika expressed that having a mix of experiences, or as she put it, “diversity makes life interesting,” and stated that this preference will not change now that she’s reached her fifties.
If someone finds me too energetic or unconventional, they might not be the right match for me. A partner should be capable of handling an active and vibrant individual, and be open to embracing life’s adventures instead of settling down peacefully in old age.
In my experience, I don’t typically favor one specific type of person, so it’s the diversity that keeps things interesting. Instead of listing out qualities, I could describe an ideal match, but when someone new appears, it’s usually clear to me whether they are a good fit or not.
