As a seasoned gamer with decades of gaming under my belt, it’s always a thrill to see new additions topping the charts. This week, Mortal Kombat 1 takes the crown, and I can’t help but reminisce about the good old days when I first encountered Scorpion and Sub-Zero in arcades. The nostalgia is strong with this one!
Hooray! The newest UK retail rankings are out, and there’s an unexpected leader in the Xbox Series X|S top ten this week. It’s Mortal Kombat 1, sitting pretty at number one. WWE 2K24 holds strong at number two, while Assassin’s Creed Mirage rounds out the top three.
With excitement mounting for Black Ops 6, it’s clear that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is experiencing a resurgence in popularity, climbing the charts once more. Meanwhile, summer sales have brought back some classics like Alone in the Dark, EA Sports FC 24, F1 24, and Minecraft: Bedrock Edition to the limelight.
On the Xbox One’s list of top 20 games, Red Dead Redemption 2 maintains its number one position. Black Ops 3 follows closely in second place. Additionally, LEGO Marvel Super Heroes and its sequel, SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle For Bikini Bottom – Rehydrated, along with several other LEGO games, have re-entered the charts.
