UFL, the Free-to-Play EA Sports FC and eFootball Competitor, Has Been Delayed Until December

As a seasoned gamer with decades of experience under my belt, I have witnessed countless delays in game releases, but this one hits differently. UFL: Ultimate Football League, promising to challenge the titans like EA Sports FC and eFootball, was initially slated for a September release. Now, it’s December, and while I’m not exactly thrilled about waiting longer, I appreciate the developer’s commitment to quality over rushing things out.

The tech company Strikerz Inc. shared the news that their forthcoming free football game, UFL: Ultimate Football League, will be released three months later than initially planned, as it’s set to compete against EA Sports FC and eFootball.

The football game was initially scheduled for a September launch, but it has been moved to December. This change is due to insights gathered from the second Open Beta and ‘Common Test’, as stated by Strikerz in a recent blog post. They went on to explain that, after careful analysis of your feedback and extensive game data, they have decided to reschedule the Ultimate Football League (UFL) release.

“Let me share our reasons behind this choice and its implications for you. Although we could launch the game on time, we feel that spending a bit extra time will enable us to deliver an exceptional gaming experience.”

“Most problems we’re encountering are about polishing and adjusting details that affect the game’s overall experience. Although there’s no magic formula for creating an ideal football game, it’s crucial for us to deliver a product that matches our high quality standards and meets your expectations.”

In a free play format, UFL operates as a continually evolving game titled “games-as-a-service,” with Strikerz assuring regular and substantial updates. The team behind the game is actively working on enhancing existing gameplay modes and refining the overall gaming experience for stability. Over 2 million players have taken part in beta testing sessions, as announced by the studio.

starting from the 5th of December, the exciting Ultimate Football League (UFL) will be playable on both Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5. Pre-orders for the game, which grant early access, become available as early as the 28th of November.
