UFL mobile is in development, confirms Strikerz Inc. CEO, Eugene Nashilov
As a long-time fan of football video games, I am beyond excited about the upcoming mobile version of UFL! Having spent countless hours playing simulation titles like FC Mobile, eFootball, and Dream League Soccer, I’ve always yearned for a game that truly focuses on skill and fairness rather than in-app purchases. With Strikerz Inc.’s commitment to providing a “fair-to-play” experience, I believe they are on the right track to revolutionizing the industry.
Strikerz Incorporated has debuted its free-to-play soccer game, UFL, on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. This football simulation aims to challenge the dominance of EA Sports FC and Konami’s eFootball in the video game industry for football games. Following a successful launch, Eugene Nashilov, CEO of Strikerz Inc., has revealed in an interview that they are currently developing a separate mobile version of UFL.
Back in 2021 at Gamescom, I first got a glimpse of UFL, and since then, I’ve been eagerly waiting for the alpha and beta tests which took place over the following three years. What makes this game stand out is that it boasts the official FIFPRO license, allowing players to experience authentic real-life footballers with their unique play styles and likenesses. To top it off, this game has partnered with renowned clubs like West Ham United, Celtic, Rangers, among others. To add more excitement, the legendary Cristiano Ronaldo, a former FIFA Ballon d’Or winner, has come on board as the game’s ambassador. Can’t wait to get my hands on it!
UFL promises to bring a free and fair-to-play gameplay experience
UFL strives to offer its players a game environment that’s both “equal opportunity” and “skills-focused,” ensuring they aren’t forced to spend money on in-app purchases. As stated by the developers, Strikerz Inc., the success of players should not hinge on their in-game purchases or donations but rather on their gaming abilities, experience, and mastery.
As a gamer, diving into the world of Ultimate Football League (UFL), I find myself in a familiar territory reminiscent of eFootball and EA Sports FC FUT. Here, I embark on a journey where I create and oversee my unique football club. I pick an opening formation that resonates with me, select a worthy captain to lead the team, and am gifted with an initial roster of players. Then, I take to the field, playing matches, refining and enhancing these athletes to modern strategies that align with my personal playstyle.
By consistently triumphing in competitive matches and progressing higher in the rankings, you’ll be rewarded with in-game money that can be utilized to acquire superior players for your team and enhance your starting lineup. As previously mentioned, the game revolves around showcasing your skills and the number of Player versus Player battles you can successfully engage in using an effective strategy.
After a successful console debut, Strikerz Inc has opted to bring UFL to mobile devices, tapping into the vast mobile gaming community. According to Eugene, a distinct and focused development team is currently working on the mobile adaptation, while the PC version of UFL is slated for release next year.
At the moment, all I can share is that our team is actively developing the mobile version of UFL. This project has its own dedicated group of professionals. Unfortunately, you won’t see it in 2025 as we need to tailor the experience to the mobile environment. However, rest assured that it will be unveiled after that year. We are optimistic that the mobile version of UFL will offer a unique and satisfying user experience.
Eugene Nashilov, Strikerz Inc. CEO
Football mobile games have consistently been popular choices among fans, with titles like FC Mobile, eFootball, and Dream League Soccer leading the pack in market dominance. Games such as Football Manager, Soccer Manager, and Top Eleven have also gained significant attention as some of the most downloaded soccer management simulations. With UFL Mobile currently under development, it remains to be seen if the game will establish itself as a key player in the industry once it’s released.
