UFC Vegas 95 bonuses, Why Merab Dvalishvili is ‘very pissed off’ & Jean Silva’s new tattoo
As a seasoned gamer with decades of combat sports and digital world immersion under my belt, let me share my insights on the latest happenings in the UFC realm.
In this fresh daily feature, I’ll dissect news hailing from the realms of combat sports and offer my unique insights. Drop by each morning to catch the day’s notable or quirky stories along with my perspective on them.
UFC Vegas 95 bonus winners revealed
At UFC Vegas 95, while the overall event may not have been the greatest in UFC history, it still featured numerous fighters who received bonus awards due to their performances during the show.
- Performance of the Night: Youssef Zalal
- Performance of the Night: Toshiomi Kazama
- Performance of the Night: Serghei Spivac
As a gamer, I’m thrilled to say that I believe the bonuses were justly distributed, with each recipient having their own electrifying moments. It brings me immense joy to see Zalal in particular; hearing about his intention to use his bonus for a trip back to Morocco and personally distribute cash envelopes to his family warms my heart. That’s the kind of selfless individual who truly deserves to be blessed.
Merab Dvalishvili explains why he’s so pissed at Sean O’Malley’s coach
Merab Dvalishvili expressed strong disagreement with Sean O’Malley’s coach, Tim Welch. “I have an issue with his coach, Tim,” Dvalishvili stated. “He was disrespectful towards me and acted inappropriately. A true coach should never behave that way, regardless of what he was doing. It would result in a disqualification in sports like basketball or football. Only in the UFC can such behavior be tolerated. Coaches should focus on their fighters and avoid disrespecting opponents. Who acts like this? Only someone unscrupulous does.”
It’s clear where Dvalishvili’s anger stems from, given that Sterling lost his title after a trick by Welch, who imitated Sterling’s coach in a leaked video following Aljamain Sterling’s loss to O’Malley. Since Sterling is Dvalishvili’s close friend and the title loss affected him deeply, it’s understandable that he harbors anger. Moreover, Dvalishvili is shrewdly adding fuel to the fire to heighten the drama and excitement for their upcoming fight.
Jean Silva just got an epic new tattoo
As a die-hard fan, I’ve recently inked an impressive tribute tattoo on the back of my skull, drawing inspiration from the enigmatic video game character, Agent 47, better known as Hitman, as reported by MMA Mania.
In this case, I would rephrase the sentence as follows: “I’ll leave the decision about video games to them since I’m not familiar with them, but I do recognize that Silva is a character. As for this tattoo, it might not appeal to everyone, but it certainly fits Silva’s persona perfectly.”
