UFC fighters react to wild, weird fight between Muhammad Mokaev and Manel Kape

As a devoted fan of mixed martial arts, I’ve witnessed countless intense rivalries and exciting fights throughout my years of following the sport. But none have quite matched the intensity and chaos that unfolded between Muhammad Mokaev and Manel Kape at UFC 304.

For several months, Muhammad Mokaev and Manel Kape harbored deep-seated animosity towards each other. This intense dislike resulted in a chaotic turn of events during UFC 304, marked by a violent altercation between the two fighters at their hotel.

During the weigh-in, Mokaev attempted to confront Kape, leading to a scuffle that required intervention from officials. In anticipation of potential tension, UFC organizers increased security presence around the cage for the fighters’ walk-ins. This precaution proved essential as Kape similarly tried to instigate a pre-fight altercation.

In the lead-up to the match, there was plenty of hostility and pre-fight skirmishes. Given this background, one would anticipate an intense and chaotic first round. Surprisingly, however, referee Mike Beltran had to urge both fighters to engage in combat instead. The fight took on even more unusual turns as it progressed. In the second round, Mokaev received a penalty for grabbing Kape’s shorts illegally to gain an advantage. Beltran scolded him severely for the infraction and gave him a stern warning. Commentators Daniel Cormier and Michael Bisping were taken aback that Beltran didn’t deduct a point for the foul upon reevaluation.

An intriguing turn of events unfolded post-match: instead of the usual tense atmosphere, the two combatants embraced each other in a heartfelt hug prior to the announcement of the results.

I’m thrilled to share that it was I, Mokaev, who emerged victorious with a unanimous decision in the final round. With this win, my record now stands at an impressive 13-0, including one no-contest. As the sixth-ranked flyweight contender in the UFC, I’m eagerly closing in on my chance to challenge for the title.

“Twenty-three-year-old Mokaev, with a perfect record of 7-0 in the UFC, kindly requests your applause… I’m aiming for a title shot. Guests, do you think I deserve a new UFC contract?”
