UFC Abu Dhabi: Cory Sandhagen vs. Umar Nurmagomedov fight card, channel guide, betting odds

Ahoy there, fellow combat sports enthusiasts! I’ve been around the block a few times with UFC fights, and let me tell you, this Abu Dhabi card is shaping up to be quite the spectacle!

The UFC team travels from Manchester, England to Abu Dhabi for a Fight Night event in the Middle East. The main event features two bantamweight contenders aiming to secure a title shot against the winner of the September fight between Sean O’Malley and Merab Dvalishvili. Ranked second, Cory Sandhagen (17-4) intends to keep his position by beating tenth-ranked Umar Nurmagomedov (17-0), a rising star in the bantamweight division.

Initially scheduled as the co-headliner, Nick Diaz versus Vicente Luque was meant to take place, but visa complications prevented Diaz from traveling, leading to their fight being cancelled. In the newly assigned co-main event spot, undefeated prospect Shara Magomedov (13-0-0) faces off against Michal Oleksiejczuk (19-8-0), who aims to demonstrate his reputation as a rising star is well-deserved.

I’m excited about the matchup between Tony Ferguson and Michael Chiesa elsewhere on the fight card. Currently, Ferguson is on a losing streak that’s the longest in his career. He’s determined to turn things around against a seasoned veteran who’s not far from retirement.

Currently, Nurmagomedov stands as the strong favorite with odds of -310, while Sandhagen is considered an underdog at +250. Similarly, in the co-main event, Magomedov is the clear favorite at -258 against Oleksiejczuk who holds +210 underdog status. Keep in mind that these odds are subject to change periodically.
