On August 17, UFC 305 is set for Perth, Australia, with the main event contenders holding a pre-fight press conference prior to the big day. Here, they will engage with fans, get a glimpse of their opponents, and sometimes even have a faceoff, all while ensuring they meet the required weight.
The main event for UFC 305 is UFC middleweight champion Dricus Du Plessis who is taking on former champion, Israel Adesanya. The build-up between these two African champions has at times become controversial with racial undertones and real-world issues blending into traditional trash talk.
Lately, Adesanya’s comments labeling Du Plessis as “privileged” sparked controversy, considering Adesanya had a servant for bathing during his early years.
