UFC 305: Dricus Du Plessis vs. Israel Adesanya weigh-in results, live stream

As a seasoned gamer who’s lived through countless virtual fights and real-life MMA bouts, I can tell you that UFC 305 is shaping up to be a cracker of an event! The main event between Dricus Du Plessis and Israel Adesanya promises fireworks, with both fighters showcasing their grit and determination.

In September last year, Dricus Du Plessis experienced a unique milestone. Born in South Africa, this middleweight contender clinched a split decision victory against Sean Strickland to claim the UFC title. For the first time, Du Plessis will safeguard his championship status as the main event at UFC 305.

In what is arguably the most demanding test of his fighting career, Du Plessis will square off against Israel Adesanya, who aims to regain his form following an unexpected loss against Strickland. ‘The Last Stylebender’, having spent the past eleven months recuperating, appears poised for a top-notch exhibition.

The co-headlining fight at UFC 305 showcases two flyweight fighters – the number four-ranked Kai Kara-France and the seventh-ranked Steve Erceg. Notably, Kai Kara-France has recently experienced back-to-back defeats, first against Brandon Moreno (a third-round knockout) and then against Amir Albazi (a split decision).

After my last fight ended in a unanimous decision loss against Alexandre Pantoja for the UFC flyweight title, I must admit it was a tough one, but I gained priceless experience that will undoubtedly help me grow as a fighter. At 29 years old, I’ve got lots of time ahead to keep honing my skills and aim for another shot at the title. As they say, every defeat is a stepping stone towards victory!

On the main card of this Saturday’s pay-per-view, there are additional exciting matchups to look forward to beyond Du Plessis vs. Adesanya and Kara-France vs. Erceg. These include Mateusz Gamrot facing Dan Hooker in a lightweight bout, a heavyweight fight between Tai Tuivasa and Jairzinho Rozenstruik, and Li Jingliang going up against Carlos Prates at welterweight.

I’m thrilled to be part of the crowd for UFC 305, where an impressive lineup of Australian talents will shine! Five local fighters – Junior Tafa, Josh Culibao, Jack Jenkins, Tom Nolan, and Stewart Nicoll – are eager to leave a lasting impression in their home country. Can’t wait to cheer them on!
