Ubisoft’s The Division Resurgence begins Closed Beta Test in Romania starting this September 9th

Story Highlights

  • The Division Resurgence has announced resuming test operations, with closed test in Romania.
  • Players who spend during regional beta tests will be compensated with Premium Credit.
  • Multiple delays since 2023 shifted the game’s release timeline.

The long-awaited third-person shooter game titled “The Division Resurgence,” produced by Ubisoft, is making a comeback as it gears up to restart test phases for its eagerly anticipated mobile shooter. A new closed test will commence on September 9, 2025, initially in Romania.

In simple terms, The Division Resurgence was initially unveiled in May 2021 as a separate, free-to-play mobile game that is part of the well-known Tom Clancy universe. It offered an open-world city adventure based on New York, featuring both player versus environment (PvE) and player versus player (PvP) modes. By drawing from the strategic elements of the main series, it aimed to provide a mobile-friendly gameplay experience.

The Division Resurgence test operations restarting bring new hope for the fans

After that, Ubisoft conducted numerous closed trials limited to specific regions like Southeast Asia, the US, Brazil, and various other global locations. The testing phase for the game was active in these areas. Yet, the game’s progress hasn’t always been without bumps along the way.

The upcoming technical trial for #TheDivisionResurgence begins on September 9th. Learn more about it here:

Initially scheduled for a worldwide debut in Fall 2023, the launch encountered multiple setbacks. An announcement in September 2023 adjusted the release date to early 2024, but another delay in March 2024 pushed the target back further to December 2024.

In July 2024, Ubisoft made the announcement that the release of both Rainbow Six Mobile and The Division Resurgence would be delayed indefinitely due to the need to perfect gameplay and match high market standards. This move has sparked worries about Ubisoft’s financial prospects for the fiscal year 2025.

The Division Resurgence Closed Beta Test registrations are now open

As Ubisoft has mentioned, the test version scheduled for September 2025 will resemble the one distributed during the beta testing period in December 2023. Those players who spend money on in-game items during the regional beta trials can expect to receive Premium Credits as compensation. These credits will be added to their accounts once the game is officially launched.

A new reward system has been implemented for testers: Spending up to $300 gets you a 150% increase in Premium Currency value, and spending more than $300 earns you a 120%. This bonus restarts at the beginning of each new Beta phase for that region, so players have multiple chances to take advantage of it.

Participants are now invited to prep their registrations to potentially join the next phase that follows a year of unpredictability and repeated postponements. Head over to the official website and enroll for the trials. Keep in mind that invitations will be distributed to those who have signed up, so it’s crucial to complete your registration on iOS or pre-register on Android devices.

For those eagerly anticipating playing and evaluating the game, this development offers hope that the project is now progressing as intended. With its exceptional promise, The Division Resurgence could indeed carve out a significant niche in the competitive world of mobile shooting games.
