Ubisoft outlines post-launch content for upcoming game Star Wars Outlaws

As a long-time Star Wars enthusiast with memories of watching the original trilogy on VHS tapes, I can hardly contain my excitement for Ubisoft’s upcoming open-world action-adventure game, Star Wars Outlaws. With just weeks to go before its release, the tantalizing details about post-launch content have only served to fuel the anticipation.

In less than a month, the much-anticipated “Star Wars Outlaws” from Ubisoft, an action-packed open-world adventure game, is set to be released. The developers have recently revealed details about extra content that will become available after its launch.

As a devoted Star Wars enthusiast myself, let me share some exciting news for fellow fans who might be less familiar. The groundbreaking title I’m referring to is “Star Wars Outlaws,” the very first open-world Star Wars game! Immerse yourself in an exhilarating journey across the expansive galaxy, where you can revisit classic planets and discover new ones.

In the game, players will embark on challenging missions with both high rewards and significant risks, offered by the galaxy’s most influential criminal organizations. These missions involve stealing precious items, penetrating hidden bases, and outsmarting adversaries. Despite the tantalizing hints thus far, Kay Vess’s tale promises to be much more expansive. However, at launch, the game will only offer the initial part of her story – a promising start to an intriguing narrative that’s sure to unfold further.

Similar to many modern games, Star Wars Outlaws is planned to get extra content after its release, with Ubisoft detailing the two story expansions that come with the Season Pass.

Starting Fall 2024, you’ll find “Star Wars Outlaws: Wild Card” Story Pack 1 in stores. Here’s a sneak peek at its plot: This adventure will put you face-to-face with an old acquaintance you won’t forget easily! (Ubisoft provided this brief overview.)

Kay is hired to infiltrate a high-stakes Sabacc tournament, but as she crosses paths with the notorious gambler Lando Calrissian, she soon learns that another game is being played.

As part of the initial story update, you’ll find two aesthetically pleasing packages: the “Hunter’s Legacy” Package and the “Cartel Ronin” Bundle. These packs will offer extra outfits for characters Kay and Nix, as well as cosmetic items for Kay’s speeder and her spacecraft, the Trailblazer.

In Spring 2025, you can expect the arrival of the second story bundle titled “Star Wars Outlaws: A Pirate’s Treasure.” This narrative brings us to an encounter between the character Kay Vess and the seasoned pirate, Hondo Ohnaka.

The Trailblazer’s reputation precedes Kay as she runs into veteran pirate Hondo Ohnaka, who is looking to settle old scores with a ruthless gang of pirates.

In the package deal, you receive two narrative expansions for the game “Star Wars Outlaws.” These expansions are included in both the Gold ($109.99) and Ultimate ($129.99) versions of the game, or for those who have a Ubisoft+ subscription. Alternatively, these story packs will also be sold separately, though we haven’t determined their individual prices yet.

The game “Star Wars Outlaws” is set to debut in a couple of weeks on August 30th, available for play on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and personal computers (PC).
