Tyrese Gibson surrendered to authorities on Friday following the issuance of an arrest warrant last week by Atlanta police. He was charged with animal cruelty.
The 46-year-old actor from Fast & Furious was formally processed at the Fulton County Jail just before 6 a.m. He is now charged with a minor offense related to animal cruelty, according to CNN.
Authorities were looking for the celebrity after a neighbor’s dog died. Investigators from Fulton County Police Animal Services believe one of Gibson’s four Cane Corso dogs was involved in the sad incident.
After being arrested, Gibson was released after posting a $20,000 bond, as stated by Captain Nicole Dwyer.
The Daily Mail has reached out to Gibson’s rep for comment but did not immediately hear back.
Oh my gosh, you guys, I just heard that Dwyer said Gabe Banks, her lawyer, knows they have to hand over *all* four of her precious pups to the authorities as part of the investigation! Can you believe it? It’s just… heartbreaking. But apparently, he’s aware of it, so at least that’s something. I’m so worried about the dogs!

Dwyer added that the four canines have yet to be given to authorities.
On Friday, CNN reported that Gibson’s lawyer stated the actor ‘has cooperated fully with legal authorities and will continue to do so until this matter is resolved.’
The Hollywood actor has now found a new place for his four dogs following the tragic event. This happened last month on September 18th, while the star was traveling.
On Wednesday, Banks stated: ‘After hearing about this upsetting incident, Mr. Gibson quickly decided to find a secure and caring new home for his dogs.‘
The R&B singer also expresses his heartfelt sympathy to the family who tragically lost their dog. This happened while Mr. Gibson was away from home.
According to officials, the event took place in Atlanta’s Buckhead area, close to where those involved live.
A neighbor of the singer known for the song “How You Gonna Act Like That” called 911, reporting that a dog owned by Gibson had seriously injured one of their own animals.
After the incident, police obtained a search warrant and carried it out at Gibson’s home in Atlanta on September 22nd. They also secured an arrest warrant at that time.

Oh my gosh, when the police finally arrived at 11Alive reported that Gibson and his precious dogs were already gone! Like, completely vanished from the property! I was so worried, and to hear they weren’t even *there* when the officers arrived just made me even more frantic! It’s just… unbelievable!
Originally from Watts, California, the individual owns four Cane Corso Mastiffs. The neighbor, as reported locally, owned a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel.
At first, what would happen to Gibson’s four dogs was uncertain, as his lawyer and local authorities gave different information.
Dwyer previously told TMZ that Gibson had not met a deadline to surrender his canines last week.
Dwyer stated that Gibson had been warned several times about allowing his dogs to run off-leash while walking.
Gibson’s ‘negligence’ led to the death of an ‘innocent animal,’ Dwyer added.
According to information from police, Gibson’s lawyer stated that he required time to ‘get his affairs in order’ before handing over the dogs.
According to reports, police confirmed they knew about Gibson’s social media posts from last week, in which he discussed taking a mental health break and traveling to Dubai. They were aware of the situation.

The R&B singer is most famous for repeatedly appearing as Roman Pearce in the Fast & Furious action movie series, starring Vin Diesel.
According to 11Alive, he first stated, shortly after the violent event, that he planned to surrender his pets to Animal Services.
According to CBS Atlanta, police stated that Gibson asked for an extension after officials went to his house on September 27th.
The singer of “How You Gonna Act Like That” requested an additional three to four days to decide on the best course of action, according to officials who spoke with CBS Atlanta.
