Tyra Banks Breaks Down in Tears After Losing Her LA Home to Devastating Wildfires

This week, it was noticed that Tyra Banks was spotted in Sydney, Australia. Earlier, she had disclosed that her residence in the Palisades was among those destroyed by the wildfires in Los Angeles.

On Monday, the 51-year-old model, who wept during an Australian morning program, wore a black button-up shirt with extra-wide, short sleeves that flared out dramatically, along with pants of the same color to match.

She completed her ensemble with a pair of sleek, black leather ballet shoes, and slung a large, black handbag across her elbow.

Her face was fully made up as she accentuated her green eyes with black liner.

She donned a set of star-patterned, golden drop earrings and sported a wavy bob wig adorned with side-swept bangs that framed her face.

During an interview on the talk show hosted by Natalie Barr and Matt Shirvington, Tyra shared that unfortunately, her home in Pacific Palisades was destroyed by the fire.

She mentioned that she had chosen to keep her past tragic event confidential as she didn’t wish to draw much focus on herself.

In response to questions regarding the California wildfires, tearful Tyra admitted, “Unfortunately, I lost my home during those fires, something I haven’t shared much but it’s true.

She stated, “I preferred to keep a low profile since I believe many others require more attention. However, I can’t stay silent and not tell the truth.

At the moment, Tyra resides in Sydney, getting ready to debut her ice cream shop called Smize & Dream, which will be officially opened at Darling Harbour in March.

She’s been dividing her days between Australia and her residence in New York, and she considers herself fortunate for having moved much of her possessions from Los Angeles prior to the damage.

On January 9th, the previous host of America’s Next Top Model shared an emotional post on various online platforms for her 7.2 million followers, addressing the recent series of fires that had caused widespread concern.

She expressed, “The Palisades holds a unique charm – it’s more like a charming little town. It’s cozy, picturesque, and brimming with the friendliest, kindest individuals. However, witnessing the current situation is heartbreakingly distressing.

I want you all to know that my feelings are with you during these tough times. For over a decade, my family and I called that place home, and we’ve witnessed the resilience of this community up close. I have no doubt that you will persevere and come out stronger from this experience.

In two days’ time, while the flames persisted across various parts of the city, she dispatched a particular communique to those affected in the neighborhoods of Pasadena and Altadena.

She wrote, “The Westside of Los Angeles frequently grabs the limelight due to its focus and its renown. Yet, my affection extends beyond this to Altadena and Pasadena – communities steeped in history and closely connected to my family.

My mother, Carolyn, fondly recalls her upbringing in Pasadena and Altadena, creating vivid images of that period. She often mentions the grand, towering trees lining the roads, the cozy atmosphere of the communities, and the happiness associated with less complicated times.

In a different part of the message, Banks expressed his thoughts about the numerous individuals in Altadena, Pasadena, and even beyond who are currently enduring hardships and experiencing deep sorrow.

Approximately 100,000 Los Angeles inhabitants were compelled to leave their houses, and sadly, 27 deaths have been verified due to the fires that ignited on January 7 in the morning.
