Two-time TI winner, Mira, parts ways with Team Spirit
Following his decision to step away from competitive Dota 2 in September 2024, Myroslav “Mira” Kolpakov has since left Team Spirit.
Team Spirit has risen to prominence in Dota 2, particularly following their victories at The International (TI) in 2021 and 2023. However, a disappointing performance at TI in 2024 led Myroslav “Mira” Kolpakov and Illya “Yatoro” Mulyarchuk to retire from professional play temporarily. Although Yatoro, also known as Raddan, rejoined the active roster early in 2025, Mira continued to stay away from competitive play.
On February 26th, it was officially confirmed on Team Spirit’s X platform that the team member will no longer be a part of the organization permanently.
Mira’s path to the top
Starting off in the gaming scene back in 2019, I mostly played in smaller tournaments with Cascade. Little did I know that this humble beginning would be the stepping stone to stardom. Fast-forwarding to March 2021, I was thrilled to join forces with Team Spirit. Right from the get-go, we displayed potential that had everyone talking. As we approached TI, the anticipation was palpable. And when it came down to the crunch, it was none other than us, Team Spirit, denying PSG.LGD another shot at the Aegis of Immortals.
Despite Team Spirit falling short of winning The International (TI) 2022, the year still turned out to be quite prosperous for Mira. They clinched a runner-up position at the Riyadh Masters and emerged triumphant at the PGL Arlington Major. As they continued to rack up victories leading up to TI, it seemed as if 2023 was theirs to seize – unfortunately, that didn’t happen.
With two TI titles under her belt, Mira stayed with Team Spirit until 2024, but the team’s performance throughout the year was lackluster. After the conclusion of TI, it was announced that she would be taking some time off. Now, five months later, the player has chosen to leave Team Spirit.
Mira departs from his championship-winning comrades, who continue their quest to find their best performance level and establish a significant legacy in Dota 2. In a farewell video shared by Team Spirit, his teammates and the organization itself express gratitude for his time spent with them and the exceptional Dota 2 matches they’ve enjoyed together.
At present, there’s no information on where Mira might end up, but rest assured, her role as a strong support player in position 4 will reappear shortly.
