Two sisters are haunted by an evil spirit in The Curse of the Necklace trailer

As a seasoned gamer with a penchant for horror films that have the ability to send chills down my spine and keep me awake at night, the trailer for “The Curse of the Necklace” has undoubtedly piqued my interest. I’ve seen my fair share of horror flicks, from classic slashers like “Halloween” to modern masterpieces such as “Get Out.” The blend of supernatural elements and a ’60s setting promises an intriguing narrative that I can’t resist.

For all horror enthusiasts, the long-awaited trailer for “The Curse of the Necklace” has now been unveiled! This spine-tingling movie is scheduled to hit theaters on September 27, 2024, and will be available digitally from October 1.

The chilling horror film titled “The Curse of the Necklace” is brought to you by ESX Entertainment, a company typically recognized for romantic comedies. This time, they’re venturing into the terrifying realm of horror movies. Juan Pablo Arias Muñoz, a Chilean writer-director known for his work on “Pumpkinhole” and “Perry Mason”, directs the film from a screenplay penned by John Ducey, who has previously worked on “A Hollywood Christmas” and “That’s Amor”.

In this chilling movie, the story unfolds during the ’60s, focusing on the struggles of the Davis family as they grapple with challenging circumstances. The family matriarch, Laura Davis, has parted ways with her husband Frank, a troubled police officer, and re-enters the workforce as a nurse. This decision leads to tension in her relationships with her two daughters, Ellen (aged 11) and Judy (16 years old).

Despite his intentions, Frank is trying to win Laura back by giving her an antique necklace he discovered at the police station. However, this isn’t just any ordinary necklace; it’s cursed and carries the tormented spirit of a wicked boy. As a result, the Davis family now finds themselves in grave peril from a malevolent force due to owning the cursed artifact.

In this production, Sarah Lind takes on the character of Laura Davis. She may be familiar to you from her portrayal of Molly Hartley in the chilling supernatural horror movie “The Exorcism of Molly Hartley”. Moreover, she has appeared in television series such as “Mentors”, “Edgemont”, and “True Justice”. The McGraw sisters, Madeleine and Violet, play Laura’s daughters, Judy and Ellen Davis. Notably, Madeleine is recognized for her role as Gwen in the supernatural horror movie “The Black Phone”, while Violet has gained fame for her portrayal of Cady in the sci-fi horror film “M3GAN”.

In addition, Henry Thomas, Felix Solis, Jacob Moran, Christina Moore, and Brynne Kurland are also part of the cast. Henry Thomas is known for shows like “The Haunting of Hill House” and “Midnight Mass”, Felix Solis for “Ozark” and “Unfrosted”, Jacob Moran for “The Black Phone”, Christina Moore for “That’s Amor” and “I Believe in Santa”, and Brynne Kurland for “Holiday in the Vineyards”.
