Two And A Half Men star Jon Cryer reveals how much LESS he earned than Charlie Sheen’s $1.9M per episode paycheck

As a longtime fan of ‘Two and a Half Men,’ I recently read that Jon Cryer, who played Alan Harper, actually made a lot less money than Charlie Sheen during their time on the show. It’s surprising to hear, considering how central both of them were to the comedy, but apparently there was a big difference in their salaries!

A new Netflix documentary, called *aka Charlie Sheen*, reveals that the 60-year-old actor received about a third of Charlie Sheen’s income.

According to Forbes, Charlie Sheen was making $1.9 million per episode when “Two and a Half Men” was at its most popular. In comparison, Jon Cryer earned $620,000 per episode, as reported by The Hollywood Reporter.

That is a massive difference.

Cryer detailed how he felt about the pay discrepancy.

According to a report in People magazine, he described a difficult situation: the person is struggling personally and professionally, and is currently trying to renew their contract for a show they both appear on.

He likened his difficult co-star, who later left the show due to personal issues, to a dictator.

According to Cryer, Kim Jong-Il, the former leader of North Korea, often behaved erratically. This led many countries to provide him with substantial financial aid, motivated by fear of his unpredictable actions.

That’s essentially what happened. Sheen’s contract demands became unreasonable because he was going through a difficult personal time. Meanwhile, my life was stable, and I ended up receiving a third of what he was asking for.

He explained that CBS was willing to invest so much in Charlie because they had already secured deals to air several more seasons of the show.

Charlie Sheen was fired from his TV show in 2011 after he spoke out publicly against its creator, Chuck Lorre.

He explained his decision to leave the Netflix project, recalling that he’d told them, “I’m emotionally exhausted and worried about returning. I understand there’s still a lot of potential for profit, but I’m not sure I have the energy to contribute, and I’m afraid things will go badly if I do.” He remembered saying those exact words.

After the original actor left, Ashton Kutcher took over the role and played it for the show’s final four seasons, until it ended in 2015.

Charlie Sheen’s memoir, *The Book of Sheen*, was released at the same time as his documentary, which first aired on September 10th.

Charlie Sheen’s daughter, Sami, who is 21 and whose mother is Denise Richards, was deeply affected by the revealing information shared publicly.

In a recent social media post, she shared that her father’s decision to quit drinking and drugs for her was the most touching thing to her.

‘I didn’t know I was the reason he got sober,’ the Only Fans creator said in a TikTok video.

In his book, the actor recalled it being December 10, 2017, and by 9 a.m. he was already enjoying his third coffee with a splash of Macallan whisky.

‘My phone rang and when I picked up, it was my daughter Sam asking what time we were leaving.

Oops, I completely forgot about her appointment. I’ve always been careful to keep things separate, so when I messed up, I called Tony T. – he’s dealt with my blunders before. He’s not just dependable, he’s *really* dependable.

As a lifestyle expert, I often talk about family, and it’s lovely to see Charlie Sheen enjoying life with his children. Besides his son Sami, Charlie is also a proud dad to his 20-year-old daughter, Lola Sheen, who he shares with Denise Richards.

He has four children: 16-year-old twins Bob and Max Sheen with his ex-wife Brooke Mueller, and a 40-year-old daughter, Cassandra Estevez, with a former high school girlfriend, Paula Profit.
