The Apple TV+ series Sugar, starring Colin Farrell as private investigator John Sugar, has released a new trailer. It shows several new characters who become involved in the story, all set against the hot backdrop of Los Angeles.
Mark Protosevich, the writer behind the 2000 sci-fi film The Cell, created Sugar, a detective series following a private investigator in Los Angeles. The first season focused on finding a missing movie producer’s granddaughter, and now the detective is working on another disappearance.
I’m already hooked after seeing the trailer! It looks like my favorite actor is playing a detective who gets involved with this really promising young boxer – Jin Ha is playing him – whose brother has just disappeared. It’s a total mystery, and I can’t wait to see what happens!
As Sugar explains in the video, finding someone who actively avoids being found is already difficult, but it becomes even more challenging when you’re in a competition against others to do so.
The new series Sugar is a fresh and original take on the classic detective story. It follows a central character as they investigate clues that quickly lead them into a dangerous and widespread conspiracy within the city.
