Twisters will finally make its streaming debut on Peacock this November
As a seasoned gamer and film enthusiast who’s survived countless virtual apocalypses and tornado-ridden worlds, I can confidently say that the upcoming release of Twisters on Peacock this November is something I’m genuinely excited about. With a stellar cast, including Daisy Edgar-Jones, Anthony Ramos, and Glen Powell, and a story written by Mark L. Smith (The Revenant), I’ve got high hopes for this disaster film.
Following a prosperous run in theaters, accumulating an impressive $371 million globally, the movie “Twisters” will at last premiere on streaming platforms. It’s set to arrive on Peacock this November, specifically on Friday, Nov. 15, 2024.
The film titled “Twisters” was directed by Lee Isaac Chung, who is also known for “Minari”. The screenplay for this movie was crafted by Mark L. Smith, the writer of “The Marsh King’s Daughter” and “The Revenant”. Interestingly, the story upon which the script was based was originally conceived by Joseph Kosinski, the creator of “Top Gun: Maverick” and “Tron: Legacy”.
The movie titled “Twisters” is a disaster film that acts as a standalone sequel to the 1996 hit movie “Twister.” In this film, Helen Hunt, Bill Paxton, Jami Gertz, and Cary Elwes were among its stars. The plot revolves around Kate Carter, a former storm chaser who is enticed to return to the world of tornado tracking when her friend, Javi, contacts her about testing a novel tornado detection system.
Javi, along with their team, journeys to Oklahoma, where they encounter Tyler Owens and his storm-chasing crew – both parties are present for a tornado outbreak investigation. However, as the storm season becomes more severe, these two rival teams find themselves in a situation where cooperation is necessary to ensure their survival.
Actress Daisy Edgar-Jones, twice nominated for a Golden Globe and famously portraying Catherine “Kya” Clark in the mystery drama film “Where the Crawdads Sing“, takes on the lead role of Kate Carter. Joining her are Emmy-nominated actor Anthony Ramos, who plays Javi, and Glen Powell as Tyler Owens within the same cast.
Recently, I’ve had the pleasure of being part of some fantastic projects. Apart from the thrilling rollercoaster ride that was “Twisters”, I also jumped into action for the movie “Transformers: Rise of the Beasts”. On the romantic comedy front, I shared the screen with Sydney Sweeney in “Anyone but You” and had a delightful time working alongside Adria Arjona in another heartwarming film titled “Hit Man”.

This is what some critics had to say about the disaster film via Rotten Tomatoes:
The reason to see Twisters is to feel the same emotions one enjoys on a roller coaster ride. Its visual effects are vivid and spectacular and there is some catharsis in watching ordinary people behave in extraordinary ways when disaster strikes.
It’s loaded with fun and sometimes funny set pieces and enough danger to keep you on your toes.
Don’t forget to mark your calendar because Twisters will be coming to Peacock on Nov. 15!
