Twisters post-credits scenes: How many are there? And what are they?

As a seasoned gamer and avid moviegoer, I can’t help but feel exhilarated about the release of “Twisters” in UK cinemas, finally joining the ranks of US cinemas from July 19. The long-awaited sequel to the iconic 1996 film “Twister” takes us on another rollercoaster ride through Tornado Alley with a new team of storm chasers.

The long-awaited sequel to “Twisters,” titled “Twisters: New Chases,” is now showing in UK cinemas (releasing in US cinemas on July 19). This thrilling continuation introduces a fresh team of storm chasers as they venture deep into Tornado Alley.

In a new film that serves as a standalone continuation of the 1996 release “Twister,” we meet scientist Kate Cooper, portrayed by Daisy Edgar-Jones from “Normal People.” Five years have passed since she survived a close encounter with an F5 tornado, an event that left her hesitant to return to her field of expertise. However, her friend Javi (Anthony Ramos, known for his role in “Hamilton”) is working on a revolutionary 3-D tracking system and desperately needs Kate’s extraordinary abilities.

I came across social media sensation Tyler Owens, played by Glen Powell, and learned some harsh realities about my own squad. Feeling compelled to act, I dug up my old research with the goal of preventing tornadoes from wrecking havoc on everything in their paths.

In the ending credits of “Twisters,” viewers are treated to additional insights into the lives of the characters post-movie events. Furthermore, an amusing cut scene featuring Edgar-Jones, Powell, and Brandon Perez from “Nope” is included as a bonus.

Does Twisters have a post-credits scene?

After the credits for “Twisters” begin, you can rest assured that there is just a single mid-credit scene. So, take it easy and let the credits play for a bit longer without feeling obligated to stay until the very end.

Audiences have grown used to seeing extra scenes after the credits due to Marvel Cinematic Universe films. However, not every movie should include this element. For instance, in the film “Twisters,” the post-credit scenes function more as amusing add-ons instead of foreshadowing future installments. (Similar to how it was with “Inside Out 2” recently.)

Instead of focusing solely on the mid-credit scene, don’t forget to check the main credits preceding it. These credits may provide valuable insights into the fates of the film’s primary characters. For instance, we learn that Kate, Tyler, and Javi have formed a partnership to help shield Americans from destructive tornadoes in the future.

If the summer box office sees the movie raking in huge revenues, it could pave the way for an appealing approach in making its sequel.

Twisters mid-credits scene explained

From my gaming perspective, the mid-credits scene in Twisters didn’t unveil significant storyline information or serve as a foundation for a possible sequel.

In simpler terms, the film features a humorous interaction between Kate (portrayed by Edgar-Jones), Tyler (acted by Powell), and Boone (performed by Perea). This lighthearted moment most likely occurred prior to the climax of the movie based on their attire.

While perched atop Tyler’s red car with the other two, Boone suggests that Kate should also don a T-shirt bearing her likeness, similar to Tyler’s.

Tyler expresses doubt about Boone’s devotion to their storm-chasing team, but later reveals that he himself would be happy to sport a T-shirt bearing the image of Kate.

Twisters is now out in UK cinemas, and it’s arriving in US cinemas on July 19.
