Twilight’s Mackenzie Foy Responds To Fourth Wing Fancast: “I’m Obsessed With It”

A rising star from the Twilight films recently expressed excitement about being suggested to play the lead role of Violet Sorrengail in the upcoming Fourth Wing series. Prime Video’s adaptation of Rebecca Yarros’ popular Empyrean fantasy novels is also getting a new showrunner: Meredith Averill, known for her work on Wednesday and The Haunting of Hill House.

Now that filming is moving forward, fans are starting to think about who should play the main characters, Violet Sorrengail and Xaden Riorson, in the adaptation of Fourth Wing. As expected, readers of the book have plenty of ideas about who would be perfect for these key roles.

A popular fan casting online suggests Mackenzie Foy, known for her roles in Twilight and Interstellar, would be a great fit for the character Violet Sorrengail in the upcoming adaptation of Fourth Wing. Foy recently told Teen Vogue that she’s pleased to see fans wanting her for the part, especially considering her previous work as Renesmee in The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn.

Foy expressed her enthusiastic love for the books, highlighting the magical elements and dragons. She was incredibly flattered by the idea of being considered to play the character Violet, and indicated she’d gladly accept the role if the author, Rebecca Yarros, offered it to her.

Finding the perfect actors to play Violet and Xaden is key for the Fourth Wing series on Prime Video. They’re the central characters who drive the story, working together to expose corruption within their military and fight against dangerous magical enemies—and they fall in love along the way.

Violet Sorrengail is around 20 years old in Fourth Wing, making 24-year-old actress Josie Foy a good fit for the role, and she could continue playing the character as the series develops. Author Rebecca Yarros has currently published three books in the Empyrean series—Fourth Wing, Iron Flame, and Onyx Storm—and plans to release two more.

It feels like everyone’s scrambling to make the next big romantic fantasy series! We were all excited about Hulu’s potential A Court of Thorns and Roses adaptation, but sadly that’s been put on hold. Meanwhile, Netflix jumped on Callie Hart’s Quicksilver with a huge investment. It’s anyone’s guess who’ll be starring in these projects, but I’m happy to hear Mackenzie Foy is eager to take the lead in Fourth Wing – I think she’d be fantastic!
