Twilight fans are all saying the same thing about Bella Swan after deleted scene resurfaces
As a dedicated Twilight fan since its release back in 2008, I must admit that the recent resurfacing of the deleted chinchilla dropping scene from the movie has left me cringing all over again. It’s as if someone opened up Pandora’s Box and let the cheesiness flood out! The awkward interaction between Bella and Edward in their bedroom is one scene I could have done without revisiting, especially considering that the finger-biting scene still haunts my nightmares.
Fans of Twilight have been expressing their discomfort about the movie being “awkward” or “uncomfortable,” following the resurgence of a cut scene from the 2008 film on social networking sites.
The situation under discussion revolves around an uneasy exchange occurring between Bella Swan, portrayed by Kristen Stewart, and Edward Cullen, played by Robert Pattinson. This takes place when Bella visits Edward’s residence for the first time, and he proceeds to show her around his living quarters.
The bedroom scene does feature in the final cut of the film, which has come to gross $393.6 million worldwide, but there’s a portion of the conversation between vampire Edward and schoolgirl Bella that was not left in, and it’s clear to see why.
In a video posted by Instagram user @corinnieeeee, who often discusses the Twilight series in depth, she comments: ‘It looks like we’re taking another look at what I think is the second most embarrassing deleted scene from Twilight – the notorious chinchilla dropping scene. Just a heads up, this scene is very awkward.’
In the expanded portrayal of the setting, Bella is observed exploring Edward’s unique room, casually commenting on various objects like his collection of journals and music, until she comes across a rain stick.
Bella admits to Edward, feeling uncomfortable, “I would craft these items in the past. My chinchilla and I, along with my mom, used to create them from the chinchilla’s droppings and cardboard tubes, similar to toilet paper rolls.” She then questions, “Perhaps that’s a bit peculiar.
Later, Corinne reappears and shares with her audience: “What I’ve always pondered about that scene is who could have possibly suggested or included it, thinking it was a wise decision for this movie?
She points out that the specific detail about chinchilla droppings is not something Stephanie Meyer should be blamed for because it was Catherine Hardwicke who originally included that in the film, and it wasn’t even part of the original book.
“I’m curious about the reason behind it. Yes, I find this scene somewhat less intense compared to the finger-biting one. It has a comedic touch, but could you explain the strange expression he makes afterward? I’m puzzled as to why he was acting that way.
Many individuals promptly reacted to Corinne’s video, with one individual expressing: “What on earth did you make me watch… Why??? So embarrassing,” and another adding: “Hold up, I’ve never seen this before. You’re right, it’s incredibly cringe-worthy.
The third person stated: “This is incredibly awkward, and considering the whole movie was awkward, this stands out,” to which the fourth replied humorously: “Well, that’s the highlight of the scene for me.
Speaking about Robert’s expression, one person quipped, “It seems like he’s really reconsidering his choice,” while another remarked, “He appears as if he’s doubting every decision that brought him to this position.
A different Instagram user noted: ‘Editing plays a crucial role in movie production!!! Kudos to the editor who cut out that entire scene.’

Previously this year, Kristen identified Twilight as a film with “gay undertones” during an interview with Variety, reflecting on her professional journey.
In a recent disclosure, the actress aged 34 admitted discovering an affinity towards ‘unconventionality’ within her work on the Twilight series. She also voiced her dissatisfaction with the production of Charlie’s Angels.
Initially, I didn’t believe it was intended to be this way, but being present seemed to have catalyzed something within it. Looking back now, it feels like the film, released in 2008 as a teen vampire romance, carries a strong underlying gay theme. In my opinion, it’s quite clear.
Speaking as a die-hard enthusiast, let me tell you about my feelings towards the 2019 reboot of Charlie’s Angels starring Elizabeth Banks. To put it bluntly, Kristen herself was candid, confessing, “I loathed making that movie. I’m at a loss for words.
