TV Star’s Shocking Diagnosis: The Medieval Disease Caused by LUXURY Lifestyle!
Josie Gibson has disclosed that she contracted an ancient illness following her work on a new travel program, during which she indulged in premium train compartments.
Following the completion of her Channel 5 travel series, “Around the World in First Class,” Josie Gibson underwent a comprehensive health checkup before embarking on her subsequent television endeavor, “The 1970s Diet.” During this examination, she was informed that she had gout.
As a conscientious well-being advocate, I’d like to share some insights about a health condition known as gout, which is a particular form of arthritis. This ailment arises when an excess of uric acid accumulates in the bloodstream, leading to inflammation within the joints.
As a dedicated follower, I’d like to share that the TV presenter, aged 40, disclosed her toes have been causing her some discomfort. She expressed her surprise, stating: “I assumed gout was exclusive to older men, but it seems my indulgent lifestyle has led me to this condition.
Before recording this program, I took numerous flights, consumed a great deal of champagne, indulged in many luxurious meals, and barely got any rest. This lifestyle eventually led to me developing gout.
Josie was relishing the luxurious living, savoring champagne and indulging in gourmet meals at Michelin-rated eateries.
Blood tests gave the shock diagnosis, after spending weeks living in luxury.
Josie confirmed she is now gout free after returning to a less lavish diet.
Once I quit taking every flight and drank more water instead of champagne, things balanced themselves out,” she explained.
After participating in the ’70s Diet show, her health began to evolve along a different path as she consumed boiled potatoes, liver, and Spam.
Josie continued, ‘From the heights to the depths I’ve swung, going from enjoying the best life could offer to experiencing an abrupt reality check.’
She shared that she hadn’t anticipated the diet leading to a significant drop in her weight, and was surprised to discover that only about 10% of individuals in the 70s were obese, whereas three times as many are now considered obese.
Even though the serving was confined to a retro ’70s-sized dish piled high with liver and carbs, I wasn’t exactly bursting with optimism.
In that particular era, the program indicated that individuals tended to be healthier because, on average, they engaged in more household chores and manual tasks without modern devices, fostering a more physically active way of life.
Prior to conducting the experiment, it was discovered during a medical examination that Josie weighed approximately 102 kilograms (or 16 stones) and had a body fat percentage of 48.
The television personality felt content with her physical fitness, rated as ‘excellent’, due largely to the fact that Josie exercises consistently.
In my own words, I shared that I manage to outperform my friends, regardless of their size advantage over me, in various activities.
As a committed participant, I hauled my shopping bag to the butcher’s and baker’s shops for the production, participated in an energetic dance-based fitness class, and carefully selected a collection of retro attire to fit the role.
Although she admired the fashion of that time, the ex-participant of I’m A Celebrity found herself disappointed when she discovered that contemporary clothing sizes no longer suited her.
It was clarified to Josie that modern brands tend to produce clothing items larger than usual for the specified size, with the intention of making customers feel more contented.
Over the years, the star’s size has varied from a eight to a 22, yet she confessed that she feels most comfortable when she can comfortably wear sizes 12 to 14.
Josie shared that she’s hesitant about trying weight-loss injections, even though many of her friends have opted for them.
The star disclosed that the trial provided her with significant insights, notably uncovering that her seven-year-old son, Reggie, tended to be somewhat lethargic and frequently preferred to travel to the stores by car.
she too complimented the close-knit characteristics of families from the 1970s, and gave a sneak peek into her upcoming program that focuses on biohacking.
In the past, Josie has openly discussed her weight and acknowledged that she’s never content with her physical appearance. She expressed a desire to shed some pounds.
She shared with TopMob in December that her goal was to return to the gym, so she could have fun during Christmas. She also mentioned that her recent weight loss was due to her busy work schedule.
Josie has said she’s finally feeling happier. when it comes to her looks
She said: ‘I have literally been so busy. I’ve been here, there and everywhere, I’m working.
Regarding my commitment to fitness, I need to make sure I squeeze in some gym time amidst my busy schedule. I’ll be working until the 21st, but come the following week, I plan to carve out a dedicated slot each day to hit the gym and improve my health. The goal is to shed a few pounds before Christmas so I can truly enjoy the festivities.
Over time, it seems like you’ve been shouldering a significant amount of stress, often feeling unsatisfied or unhappy.
Currently, I’m quite swamped with work, yet I’d love to shed some pounds, but overall, I’m content with who I am. What truly matters is my happiness.
Just as a house undergoes continuous renovation, so too does the human body require constant improvement. In other words, just as you might repaint a room in your home, it is essential that we also make steady progress in our physical well-being.
Previously, it was disclosed that Josie would often cry regularly due to being bullied about her weight following her victory on Big Brother in 2010.
Back in 2014, this celebrity disclosed that she managed to shed approximately 84 pounds (or six stone) within a year, transitioning from a size 20 to a size eight.
2023 found me embarking on an exciting journey as I prepared for my stint on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! In the lead-up, I decided to make some changes and, with the help of a dedicated personal trainer, managed to reduce my size from 18 to 14.
