But at her Teesside home, some things are non-negotiable for Sara Davies.

The wealthy businesswoman, aged 41, disclosed that she takes away her kids’ friends’ smartphones when they visit for a playdate.

The television investor shares that there’s a storage box at the entrance of their home, where guests place their phones and tablets when they visit. This box is kept in my bedroom, as they have two boys, Oliver (age 11) and Charlie (age 8), who share the house with her husband Simon Davies.

Sara says, “I enjoy being the place where children gather for fun, often providing pizza, but I’ve noticed instances where children arrive with smartphones and tablets. In those cases, one child might retreat to their device.

‘I say: “If you need to ring your mam later or anything like that, you can come and ask me.”‘

Born in County Durham, this successful entrepreneur has stepped away from her role on the BBC investment show following a six-year tenure. She is the creator of Crafter’s Companion, a thriving craft supplies company valued at around £37 million.

In my perspective, nothing beats the scene when they’re all out there, engaging in a game of football during their playdates. It just seems like they mesh so well, and the communication among them is truly remarkable, I must say. However, I always tread carefully as I observe.

I’d rather avoid giving the impression that I’m criticizing other parents for allowing their children to have smartphones, as I find it uncomfortable discussing this topic in our school’s WhatsApp group.

It’s said that the ex-prime minister received nearly £350,000 from two speaking engagements on the lecture circuit.

45-year-old Sunak received a payment of £156,435 from the American investment firm, Makena Capital, and a payment of £188,476 from the South Korean company, ChosunMedia, for discussions conducted during the past month.
