TV Star Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen’s Near-Death Bear Hunt Accident: Watch the Terrifying Clip!

During the production of the Netflix series Bear Hunt, interior designer Laurence Llewellyn-Bowen experienced a near-fatal incident due to an unexpected mishap. This show is marketed as ‘the ultimate survival test’, but it proved to be extremely challenging for him.

Last May, while shooting in Costa Rica, Lawrence joined other famous personalities participating in a water-based challenge. They instructed him to dive off a boat into the river.

Sources say that he became entangled in a bungee rope and got stuck underneath the boat.

For a few thrilling minutes, he was submerged underwater against his will, only to be rescued later by the safety crew overseeing the stunt. Unfortunately, he fell unconscious during this incident.

59-year-old Laurence was revived on the beach by survival expert and ex-Chief Scout, Bear Grylls – famously known for his role in the show where he tracks celebrities.

A source said: ‘Laurence was very shaken as was everyone. He said that he thought he was a goner.

Originally, we believed the incident was so severe that Netflix might not air it due to its intensity. However, it seems now that the program is going to include this event.

‘Netflix were very very apologetic about it afterwards.’

Beginning February 5th, a show hosted by Holly Willoughby features 12 celebrities, which includes ex-tennis star Boris Becker, dance pro Shirley Ballas from Strictly Come Dancing, Spice Girl Mel B, and model Lottie Moss. In this show, they all engage in various challenges set within a jungle environment.

In a trailer released this week, Mel B says that the experience is ‘terrifying.’

Just last week, I was on the edge of my seat, heart pounding, as whispers turned into roars about a rumored conflict among my beloved celebrities. It seemed like things were spiraling out of control, reaching a peak where even show executives felt compelled to gather everyone for a tense meeting, hoping to soothe the simmering tensions.

In the Bear Grylls series, he pursues finding stars similar to a game of cat-and-mouse. If any star is caught, it is removed from the competition.

On the program, you’ll see British model Leomie Anderson, model Lottie Moss, former English rugby union player Danny Cipriani, media personality Big Zuu, actress Una Healey from The Saturdays, actors Kola Bokinni and Joe Thomas, and TV host Steph McGovern.

Notably, Lawrence Llewelyn-Bowen, known for his vibrant style, attended Alleyn’s school in Dulwich, located in South East London. Afterwards, he pursued studies at Camberwell School of Arts and Crafts. His fame primarily comes from the hit show Changing Rooms, and he has also served as a judge on Popstar to Operastar on ITV. Currently, Lawrence resides in Gloucestershire with his wife Jackie, their two daughters, sons-in-law, and four grandchildren. In a recent interview, he mentioned that the house is divided to ensure each family member enjoys ‘independence’ or ‘self-governance.’

Bear Grylls, a veteran ex-SAS soldier, has presented numerous shows centered around surviving in the wild, such as Man vs. Wild, Running Wild with Bear Grylls, and The Island with Bear Grylls.

In 2023, Holly Willoughby, the presenter of Bear Hunt, stepped down from her position on This Morning following the revelation of a kidnap, rape, and murder plot orchestrated by an ‘obsessive’ security guard named Gavin Plumb. He was found guilty and sentenced to life imprisonment with a minimum term of 15 years in July of the previous year.

She has since presented Dancing on Ice and You Bet! And moved house.
