TV star Hayley McQueen tracks down online trolls and holds them to account – even telling their bosses about them
Scottish television host Hayley McQueen shared that she’s located and reported internet bullies, or trolls, to their respective workplaces.
The sports commentator recognized who was responsible for the abusive messages she got on various social networking sites.
On her SkyBet “Not Just Football” podcast, she talked about how social media influences her daily existence.
45-year-old Miss McQueen serves as the principal news anchor for Sky Sports News. In her past experiences covering Scottish football, she’s openly spoken about the abusive comments she encountered.
Speaking on the subject of internet bullies, she mentioned: “I’m quite fond of uncovering the truth through investigative reporting. I faced significant challenges while covering Scottish football.
If I was covering a Celtic game it was like, “oh she’s a Rangers fan”, but I’m not.
During my pregnancy, some individuals expressed hope that I wouldn’t survive. On a flight, I overheard comments such as, “I hope this plane crashes.
I managed to discover where a particular individual worked, so I contacted their place of employment via a letter and printed out the posts they made on their Instagram account.

It seems something unusual occurred as I didn’t receive a response. However, the individual’s profile on LinkedIn is no longer visible. I had reached out to their superior through a message, which helped alleviate my concerns at the time.
As a die-hard admirer, I can’t help but be captivated by McQueen’s relentless pursuit of tracking down internet trolls – a quest that mirrors the famous detective work of Wagatha Christie, a nickname earned by Coleen Rooney, wife of the legendary Manchester United star, Wayne. Her investigative prowess led her to unmask fellow WAG, Rebekah Vardy, as the possible source of stories about her leaked to the press.
