Judith Chalmers, the popular host of the travel show Wish You Were Here…?, has died at the age of 90. The longtime British television personality had been living with Alzheimer’s disease in recent years.

In a statement provided to ITV News, Chalmers’s family confirmed that the presenter had died peacefully while surrounded by loved ones, with her health having declined in recent weeks.

“After living an extraordinary life that involved over 60 years in broadcasting and countless adventures all over the globe, Judy sadly passed away last night,” reads the statement (via Sky News).

After a few years battling Alzheimer’s, she passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family. We’ll miss her dearly, but she leaves behind a wealth of wonderful memories.

Chalmers began her career with the BBC at just 13 years of age, making her debut on Children’s Hour for BBC Northern. In the 1960s, she hosted radio programmes such as Family Favourites and Woman’s Hour.
