TV host Scott Tweedie reveals he has taken in 12 people at his LA home amid the destructive Palisades fires: ‘Friends have just lost everything’
Scott Tweedie shared that he’s given shelter to 12 individuals at his house in Los Angeles, since the relentless Palisades wildfires persistently burn.
On a sunny day at Venice Beach, the 36-year-old Australian TV host provided updates about the devastating wildfires in California during her recent appearance on the Kyle and Jackie O Show.
He assured everyone that he was okay and his location had remained untouched by the fires that ignited on Tuesday. However, he mentioned that a few of his friends had suffered tremendous losses.
The host of Australian Idol disclosed that he’s welcomed approximately 12 individuals into his house, as they had to leave their homes due to being displaced.
Oh boy, what a rollercoaster of emotions and adventures! Right now, I find myself basking in the vibrant energy of Venice Beach, and let me tell you, I’m as cool as a cucumber.
Venice itself has escaped any damage so far, but Santa Monica, situated not too far away, has faced some issues. Many of my friends reside in that area, and they’ve all been asked to leave due to the situation.

At present, I find myself hosting around a dozen individuals in my space. They drop by and stay for a while, engaging in various activities.
‘A handful of my friends have just lost everything, they had no time, it just happened so quickly.’
Scott shared that the winds had been more powerful than any he’s encountered in Australia, likening the last few days to a truly terrifying experience.
He continued, “Two days ago, believe it or not, it felt like the windiest day you could ever experience in Australia or Sydney – and it seemed to be even stronger!
Under extraordinarily windy circumstances, I’ve never encountered anything like it before. Yet, concurrently, a fire was blazing. Needless to say, it was absolutely terrifying.
In Australia, we usually confront bushfires, but when fires break out within a city inhabited by millions, it’s like wondering about the outcome. What will be the result? How will things unfold?
Scott openly acknowledged that he’s feeling powerless during these devastating wildfires, yet emphasized that local businesses are making every effort possible to provide aid during this exceptionally difficult period.
Approximately 130,000 individuals have already been safely relocated since the wild animals began causing destruction in the affluent Pacific Palisades district starting on Tuesday. More than 2,000 structures have been damaged or demolished as a result.

On Wednesday night, two fresh fires erupted in the Hollywood Hills and Studio City, causing me, as a dedicated follower, to observe that these incidents demanded immediate attention. This meant that our hardworking first responders had to divert their already stretched resources towards managing the blazes on the scorched terrain.
I’m absolutely captivated! The heart of iconic southern California, from Malibu to Santa Monica, and extending to Pacific Palisades and Runyon Canyon, is engulfed in flames – a devastating sight that has left millions, including me, stunned by its sudden and unexpected spread.
In response to recent disclosures, the National Guard may mobilize and dispatch troops to lend aid, as brave firefighters prioritize resources in affected homes and communities by a process known as triage.
Among the many luxurious homes belonging to celebrities, those of Anthony Hopkins, Billy Crystal, and Paris Hilton, were among those devastated by the destructive wildfires.
Additionally, it’s been confirmed that the houses of Adam Brody and Leighton Meester, along with Anna Faris and James Woods, as well as Miles and Keleigh Teller, were also sadly demolished.
According to Realtor.com, the house where Matthew Perry, famous for his role on Friends, sadly passed away, has subsequently been destroyed by fire.
In a similar vein, following their evacuation due to the destructive California wildfires, Ben Affleck hastened to the residence of his former spouse, Jennifer Garner.
Many other stars, much like their nearby companions, find themselves in a state of suspense as they anticipate the outcome of whether any part of their estates can be salvaged.

A fierce blaze erupted in Pacific Palisades on Tuesday, swiftly engulfing nearby neighborhoods as the gusty winds scattered sparks and debris haphazardly.
People hurriedly left their homes and anxiously awaited updates, as rumors spread that entire neighborhoods had vanished, firefighters were nearly depleted of water, and resources were being redirected to combat the fire from various directions.
As a devoted follower, I must admit that we’ve found ourselves unable to control the blaze due to the relentless force of the winds.
In this catastrophe thus far, at least five souls have been tragically claimed, while the devastation has reduced over 2,000 buildings to rubble, leaving countless others with only memories and ashes where their homes once stood within the city.
